I have to assume you are in middle of the GoM and they are assuming this goes east of your location.
Lots of puckered butts and tough decisions being made out there in regards to evacuation of platforms and chopper seats available.
Take care

Appreciate the 15 day out tropical storm image. That’s not at all confusing.

Dry air is good. That much I know.
Well I’m 99.9% sure.
That will pretty much be coming to an end in a few hours. It will also be going over warmer waters than it is now. All it will take is all that and a perfectly closed eye for it to go from 85 mph to 120+ in no time.

My prayers are with those folks in that region. It took a long time to recover from Michael. This is a bad dude approaching

Thankfully those Atlanta wind gusts are from one model and not an official forecast.
There wouldn't be a single tree over 5 feet tall standing anywhere in the metro if that came to fruition.

Asheville NC is under a Tropical Storm
Warning. Crazy how far inland this will go with significant winds and rain.

Jim Cantore was interviewing someone in Tallahassee and some young guy ran up screaming Trump 2024 over and over till he got pulled away. In studio host Jaqui Jeras no doubt a Kamala voter was pissed. When they went back to Jim he was laughing.

Inland flooding will be a major issue with this storm. The same areas seeing heavy rainfall today might be in for another 24 - 36 hrs.
