They been saying it will go over Tallahassee all day bud. Might want to pay attention to these things.
The eye has been tracking more to the west of Tally toward Lake Seminole this afternoon. This moves it east a bit

Intensity forecast have it on the weaker end of a cat 3. Non of the models currently show a 4. Honestly though between 2 and 4 you are kinda splitting hairs. Prepare for the worst.
NHC forecasting a 4.

From what you just posted that’s not good isn’t the backside of the eye the worst part of the winds? No expert I could be wrong

All good, figured you were talking about the 00z intensity guidance that just came out that was weaker than previous forecasts. That’s a good sign.

How big do you think the cat 2 or bigger wind field will be? Moving at 25 mph, the worse can pass a specific location in maybe what 2-3hrs ?

How many bj’s you think those linemen get after a bad storm? Gotta be 2-3/day right?

Tally friends are mostly staying put, though friends in Crawfordville / Wakulla have evacuated.
I know what Michael did to us, our landscape... Tally/Crawfordville/Wakulla/Appalachicola is going to look very different after Helene.

I see a lot of posts from ppl talking riding it out. I am begging you ppl please reconsider. This is not a storm to play with.

Hopefully they have fuel and generators available because if there are a bunch of old trees like you mentioned they will probably be without power for days.

I also beg and plead with you all to reconsider! It’s not to be trifled with.

To be fair, a higher casualty count will help insure the name will be retired. So I guess everyone has their dumbass part to play.

I wish everyone all the best and that there are no casualties and no damage to anything and no power outages.
Now that that’s out of the way…I sure do LOVE the hype surrounding big storms. Really enjoy the build up and watching all the storm channels

Seeing those Hurricanes at Cat 2 and above just waiting to wreck shite scares the shite out of me. I live 7 mins from the ocean on the eastern side of Florida and I don’t stay when storms come this way. Prayers to those in the way of this massive hurricane.

Yeah looks like anywhere between Panama City to the time change Apalachicola. Oysters gonna go up
Time changes when you leave Mexico beach. They haven’t farmed oysters in Apalachicola in 5 or 6 years.
