Something I just learned the other day is that after the March to the Sea and then his move into South Carolina, Sherman issued an order that the sea islands from south of Charleston to the Georgia/Florida border, and 30 miles inland, were to be cleared of white inhabitants and given to freed slaves.

Johnson overturned that order as soon as he became President.

Don't know anything about that one in Penn.

There have long been rumors of a fortune in silver and gold buried somewhere around Wilkes County/Washington, Georgia. When Richmond fell and the Confederate government evacuated, part of the escaping group took as much of the gold from the Confederate treasury as possible.

By May 4th the group had reached Washington and there they held the last cabinet meeting of the Confederate States, with Jeff Davis signing the paperwork that officially disbanded the country.

No one knows what happened to the remains of the treasury, but there have long been rumors that silver and gold coins are buried/hidden somewhere in the vicinity.

The thing that is lost on the lunatic progressives is that when one of theirs does this, those of us on the right simply choose not to support them. We don't pitch a fit, haul them into court, try to force them to do something they don't want to do.

Drive over to Williams and take the train to/from Grand Canyon.

The only problem with the train is that it gets into the park at nearly noon and leaves again around 3 in the afternoon.

If it were me I'd want my first visit to GCNP to have more time to explore.

If staying in Flagstaff and driving you can take US 180 to Valle and then to the South Rim/Grand Canyon Village and then take 64 east out through Desert View and back to Flagstaff via US 89.

How long will you be there? Will you have a car?

St Simons has some good food offerings and a few historic sites.

Savannah is a day trip.

If you haven't been to the Grand Canyon you're only 1 1/2 hours away

This for sure.

You can also go an hour or so east of Flagstaff to Petrified Forest NP, Meteor Crater, and/or Winslow (if you are an Eagles fan).
Kacey maybe? Went from living on the rez and being pulled between his wife and his family to settled down in East Camp, finally in a good place with Monica and Tate, out from under the burden of the Yellowstone.

Now that's through the end of the original series. Marshalls kinda fricked it up.
Fox News was showing the ceremony in Philly that was for a time capsule to be opened on 4th of July 2276 and Indy was on the glove in front of the podium.
I qualify, just haven't gotten copies of all of the documents and filled out the paperwork. I haven't been able to be active in SCV/MOSB for a few years so no need to join if I can't be active.

I have two direct bloodline Patriots. One fought in the Carolinas, the other was part of George Rogers Clark's expedition. I've seen mixed descriptions of that service - some documents seem to say he stayed at a garrison around present day Louisville, others say he was part of the sacking of the fort. I do know he was given a bounty land grant in Vincennes for his service.
Really cool, but a little too rich for my blood.

I did preorder the Georgia 250th boxcar. My parents got me the 1976 one because I was a bicentennial baby. Hopefully they are both something I can pass down to my son one day.
They are starting to show their age, but then again I am too.

Who was the famous guitarist that played on Hold On? Was it Joe Walsh?

You can read descriptions of some of the first European visits John Colter was the first white man to visit and document what is now Yellowstone in the early 1800s, and the Jayden survey of the 1870s was the first to map and bring back proof of some of the geological features.

I believe the first European to see the Grand Canyon in as a Spanish conquistador in the 1500s and there may be records of first impressions there. There are certainly diaries from the John Wesley Powell expedition of the 1870s.

fricked up thing is she was leaving the station.

It's been forever since I've ridden, but you only pay or tap your fare card going in. Leaving the gates recognize you are there and open to let you leave.

So either none of the fare gates were recognizing people leaving and she had to break out or she was too lazy to go to the exit gates.

Our journey to parenthood wasn't the typical road, so that feeling when first finding out was a little different. Nervous, scared, but hopeful and excited.

Some thoughts for after the little one is here...

Put your phone down and just be in the moment more often. You're going to take more pictures of them in their first few years of life than you've had taken of you from birth until now.

Kids get sick. It's going to freak you out and worry you, but it's a part of life.

You know your kid better than anyone else outside of the other parent. If you feel like something's wrong, don't let the experts blow you off; advocate for your child.
