re: Have you tried to buy a gas self-propelled lawn mower at Home Depot lately?

Maybe on a 1/4 acre lot.
If you have just shy of an acre (my lot) the battery crap is a hard NO.
The first couple of years we lived here we push mowed with a 22" deck gas mower and it took nearly 2 hours of hard labor to get it done, and it is fairly level.
Fook a battery powered mower for that, and we quickly said fook push mowing it.

Get a Honda gas mower and you’ll thank me. Self propelled monster that sips gas and never breaks.
Would be great if Honda still made gasoline mowers, but since they don’t he’d be looking at used but that OK as well. As far as never breaking, my Honda mower engine threw a rod a few months ago so though it might be rare, but it can happen. My replacement mower - EGO battery powered and I can say, so far, I’m not disappointed in it performance, cutting ability and power. But I did buy a used Honda engine off eBay to fix my old mower as a backup……lol.

I have a relatively small yard. About 3k saw feet. I just bought a robotic lawnmower and it’s amazing. Cuts the whole yard in about half day with having to charge only once. Way better when having to do it weekly. Set it to run twice a week and my lawn looks great all the time.

Juan Mondragon is the best mower I’ve ever bought . Mows and trims my yard every other Saturday for $40 bucks while I go fishing.

All depends on how big your job is. I have an Ego Blower, chainsaw, hedge trimmer and pole saw. All great for the job.
I had the trimmer and gave it to my son. My trimming work just seemed to big for it. Got an Echo gas powered trimmer..
Can't imagine mowing my yard with an electric push mower...hanging on to my trusty (and discontinued) Honda gas burner.

But I’ve been 100% satisfied with the Ego.

So you’re saying you PUSH MOWER(s) have pump-up tires?

air compressor to pump the tires up on my mowers EVERYTIME I have to mow
Is this supposed to be some form of gotcha? Get some tireject and it works perfectly. My riding mover is 13 years old and its tires were dry rotted and wouldn't hold air. One thing of that stuff in all 4 tires and it's holding air like new.

Bunch of poors up in here cutting their own grass?

You can order one for less and have it shipped to your house

trailers. If electric equipment was better, the professional Mexicans would have made the switch. These are the guys that do this for a living everyday. Plus my equipment is still reliable and gets the job done.
Do you really not understand why commercial lawn companies do not use batteries?

Check out the EGO mowers....
Best mower gas or electric I’ve ever had. Cuts like a beast, no oil change, self propelled, always starts, no smell… going on 5 years on the original battery in Lower Alabama. Class machine.

You'll be begging for a gas powered mower.
THIS.
Also, I don’t understand the “i don’t have to mess with gas” or “it won’t start” argument.
I have a cheap echo trimmer and Honda push mower. The only maintenance they require is closing the fuel shutoff in the winter and a 5 gal gas can.

This old man down the street has a battery powered lawnmower. Sounds like a 350 pound mosquito.
I just call on Jesus to cut my yard. He appears every Friday and gets paid.

Honda mower and electric weedeater/blower is what works for me. I use to have to throw my shoulder out to get the weeder and blower to start.
