It’s new to me. Was that guy just waiting for that to happen. Sad that he’ll probably be sued.
re: And we’re off! Challenge Accepted.

You are so dumb. They are 6 hours closer and play a day ahead of us and we are essentially even. This thing will be over by Monday.
re: Thruflow decking

Buddy of mine had it done on his dock. Feels ok but very rigid. A good hurricane will take anything you put. The deck is only good as what it’s attached to.
re: How many Mexican restaurants are in your town?
Posted by Art Vandelay on 6/10/25 at 11:36 am
6 in Thibodaux. One dessert place. One new restaurant on the way. I didn’t count Taco Bell

I think their HC was asked about it and he was dealing with an illness a few days prior.
re: Why do people act like going to the beach is fun?

quote:so much hate for grand isle in this thread. I guess if I didn’t have a camp I probably would go to Florida more. But I enjoy going to the beach. I can set a tent and have a radio and some beer and stay out all day.
I would much rather go to Grand Isle than Florida

I don’t particularly like his music. But if this song isn’t titled bitches be crazy I don’t want to hear it

SELA? Want to get the radius down a little bit?
re: Can't grow grass in our front yard. May be due to live oaks?
Posted by Art Vandelay on 6/4/25 at 4:04 pm
Both grasses probably require 4 or 5 hours of good sunlight. So that would be pretty easy to check through the day. If you are pooling water that would compound the lack of growth

re: TurtleBox outdoor Speakers

quote:love my JBL flip and they sound great when you pair multiple.
800 is just dumb to spend on a speaker. Hell, my $75 JBL Flip gets loud AF without distorting, and I've used in in the boat so many times
Turtle box sound great and are super durable and customer service is top notch. They have done a great job marketing those things. I didn’t realize they were so expensive.
If you want to spend that kind of money definitely look at Thodio audio. Their ammo can speakers are probably the best Bluetooth speaker available.

re: The Internet finally catches up to the OT, about 10 years late

quote:
Multiplication denoted by juxtaposition (also known as implied multiplication) creates a visual unit and is often given higher precedence than most other operations. In academic literature, when inline fractions are combined with implied multiplication without explicit parentheses, the multiplication is conventionally
interpreted as having higher precedence than division, so that e.g. 1 / 2n is interpreted to mean 1 / (2 · n) rather than (1 / 2) · n.[2][10][14][15] For instance, the manuscript submission instructions for the Physical Review journals directly state that multiplication has precedence over division,[16] and this is also the convention observed in physics textbooks such as the Course of Theoretical Physics by Landau and Lifshitz[c] and mathematics textbooks such as Concrete Mathematics by Graham, Knuth, and Patashnik.[17] However, some authors recommend against expressions such as a / bc, preferring the explicit use of parenthesis a / (bc).[3] More complicated cases are more ambiguous. For instance, the notation 1 / 2p(a + b) could plausibly mean either 1 / [2p · (a + b)] or [1 / (2p)] · (a + b).[18] Sometimes interpretation depends on context. The Physical Review submission instructions recommend against expressions of the form a / b / c; more explicit expressions (a / b) / c or a / (b / c) are unambiguous.[16] 6÷2(1+2) is interpreted as 6÷(2×(1+2)) by a fx-82MS (upper), and (6÷2)×(1+2) by a TI-83 Plus calculator (lower), respectively. This ambiguity has been the subject of Internet memes such as "8 ÷ 2(2 + 2)", for which there are two conflicting interpretations: 8 ÷ [2 · (2 + 2)] = 1 and (8 ÷ 2) · (2 + 2) = 16.[15][19] Mathematics education researcher Hung-Hsi Wu points out that "one never gets a computation of this type in real life", and calls such contrived examples "a kind of Gotcha! parlor game designed to trap an unsuspecting person by phrasing it in terms of a set of unreasonably convoluted rules".[12]

I’m not against battery but stick with brands that know what they doing.
