I'm so glad I bought my Honda mower before they stopped making gas mowers. I hope to keep it for decades.

I had a Husqvarna with a Honda engine that I used for 15 years. Ran like a top, zero problems with the engine. The rest of the mower fell apart around it eventually. I bought a fancy self propelled Toro this spring to replace it but honestly I liked the old one better.

I’ve got a Troy Bilt self propelled with a Honda engine. Probably 10 years old. The mower is great but the carb is the issue. Actually fuel bowl gasket is. Replaced it and gasket is a thin O ring. Just really cheap.

Looked at a new push mower and can’t find a Honda engine on one. So I bought some gasket material and cut a new one for the fuel bowl. It took about 4 tries to get it sized right so the float doesn’t stick but no way I’m giving up my Honda until it’s completely dead.

I bought a JD zero turn last year that’s the tits, but there’s a few spots where it not convenient.

unless you have a huge yard or are trying to clear heavy brush, an electric mower is definitely the way to go. Lighter, quieter, no fluids or maintenance, no choking on fumes, etc.

It's like that whole Tesla thing is just a fluke and it's impossible to think all electric mower might actually work in 2026.
The battery on this thing is 80 Volts and 6A and it's almost as large as the battery in my car.

I just got a replacement battery for my EGO mower during Prime Days for $60.

I'm sure you'll be glad you saved $140 on a Chinese knockoff that uses used battery cells and faulty charge controller when it burns down your garage.

I have an Ego weed eater, edger, blower, and hedge trimmer. But I don’t think I ever want to push mow my 3/4 acre lot. With my teenage son helping, we can get everything done in 40min. When he’s gone and the Exmark dies, I’ll probably just hire somebody at that point.

But I’ve been 100% satisfied with the Ego.

Cutting the grass just isn’t the same without the smell of unburned gasoline wafting from a dirty carburetor

I’ve used my Ryobi electric for 6 years now and love it.

Buy a second battery though, you get about 30-40 minutes tops out of each

I have a Toro with a Briggs and Stratton that I bought when we moved into this house 13 years ago. It still starts on the first or second pull.

Yeah don't get me wrong this one is super nice and doesn't have any issues. I was just kind of attached to my old one.

I got the Personal Pace AWD one with the Briggs engine.

I have no idea what my yard guy uses. I come home every Tuesday from work and my yard looks great. I Venmo him $40 bucks and drink a beer.

That's about what I have. I change the oil and air filter in it once per year. That's all the maintenance I've ever done in 13 years. Funny that the thing needs new wheels now because they are getting bald and messing with my traction

Solid machine if it lasts long enough to wear the wheels out.

Exactly. People don’t understand how far battery tech has come.

We have battery powered cars with a ranges of 300+ miles. They know how to power your lawn mower.

Bought a self propelled, non-AARP edition about a year ago -- Toro for about $250 / $275.

Has been good thus far...sometimes it is faster than I like it to be!
