His first degree murder conviction was overturned and he was charged with voluntary manslaughter and time served after 16 years. One of his buddies (also an acquaintance of mine and just as crazy) got him a job in the oilfield making very good money. Dude is a big racing fan and bought himself a couple of NASCAR race cars that he tracks. No idea how the guy hasn’t died in a car accident yet. I’ve never seen someone as insane behind the wheel.

My older brother went to Curtis with Matt and I played baseball with him at Galatas playground. He was always very nice to me and everyone was completely shocked when we found out he committed the murders that really scared the neigborhood.

Forest Menard - charged in 2017 for beating the 2 year old child he was watching to death. Not sure if ever went to trial or convicted. Internet has no info. Forrest Menard - KPLC

Bruno Karl Blach, an alleged Nazi war criminal living in Los Angeles, was arrested by the Justice Department Tuesday night following an extradition request issued by West Germany in late June.
The 69-year-old Blach has been accused by a West German district court of “having killed three persons in Austria en route from Wiener Neudorf to Mauthausen between April 2 and April 14, 1945, in a cruel manner and acting from base motives.” Wiener Neudorf and Mauthausen were concentration camps.
The accusation was contained in a June 28 West German warrant for Blach’s arrest. The district court in Duisburg said that “prosecution for murder is not subject to a statute of limitations” under West German law.
At Blach’s arraignment Wednesday afternoon, the U.S. District Court for Los Angeles ordered him to be held without bail, according to a Justice Department source.

Yes, I went to HS with guy who seemed to live a normal life, married with kids. He was a Firefighter. He moved to Alaska while I was stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. His house kept getting broken into, so he waited with a shotgun in his garage for the thief to return and allegedly left his garage unlocked. The kid ended up coming back and he killed him with multiple shot gun blasts. He was convicted of deliberate homicide under Alaska's statute and was sentenced to 70 years and will be eligible for parole after 20 years.
The second murderer was a PFC that I knew from being stationed with another unit that ended up beating his wife to death after a domestic dispute after an Afghanistan deployment. He never stood trial, and died due to some kind of pulmonary disorder, possibly from wounds sustained from a grenade blast while overseas.

I'm a little older than Ryan Sharp. He was a freshman and used to hang out with our group sometimes and we were all JRs and SRs. It was a long time ago, but I never remember thinking he was a psycho. Kinda wild for a 15 yr old. I don't know what happened to him.

I knew Ryan as well - rode 4 wheelers \ camped out with him way before he started killing folks.

Several. One drank a lot and had a bad temper when he was drunk. Shot his landlord in a drunken rage over some bullshite. I had just had a long talk with him about his drinking and anger management at the request of his friends and family. He listened, but acted too late.
Two others were in my SIL's friend group. Had been over to their house multiple times. One of them knocked a girl up and him and another friend in the group murdered her in an El Dorado Subway decades ago when she wouldn't abort.
One I did a DOT exam on. Spidey senses told me this dude was f#$ked up. Called his employer to give them heads up. Told some local law enforcement friends only to find out he'd already shot his brother and maybe killed his sister as a juvenile. Murdered his ex-wife and her husband a few years later. DNA linked to numerous truck stop murders over a 20 year time span. Suspected to be a serial killer, but cops did him in with a hail of bullets after killing ex.
Another was an old guy that did not play. Two guys came over to kick his arse for some bullshite reason. He told them he'd just kill them. They didn't listen. Guy went to work with a Bowie knife. Killed one, and left the other paralyzed in one arm and nearly died. Would've been self defense but he did some work on them after they were subdued.

Obviously going to jail the rest of your life for murder isn't a good alternative here , but I'm curious the repercussions from the outcome he chose. I would think snitching on not one but many of yoru other gang members (and higher ups conceivably) would get you either shanked in jail, or killed as soon as you get out.
