Actually now that I think about it know someone who got hooked on crack and killed his pregnant girlfriend. Brother was my roommate freshman year and found out about it at his wedding. So two

My first best friend. Grew up down the street from each other. Were friends into my twenties. He’d moved to Austin, fell out of touch. A few years back I googled him, see what he’d been up to. Found he’d killed a guy. Initially charged with murder. Charges were dropped….deemed self defense.

Worked with a guy who was a delivery truck driver at a furniture store in Baton Rouge when I was at LSU. Dude was always a little off. One afternoon he was working on his car in the store parking lot and got so frustrated with the job that he beat up his car with a hammer
He wound up getting a divorce and moving to California. Guess his ex-wife was unhappy about it so she went out to California to talk or harass him about it. He pulled a gun and blew her away

There a a lot of posters who know this creep who beat that homeless black man to death in New Orleans. Ward lost his appeal last year to reduce the 30 year prison sentence he received. Imagine being dressed like, a high profile murder case where he killed an elderly black man and is surrounded by a prison population where 90% are black in a Louisiana prison. Not sure if he has been targeted yet.

I was friends with this kid that lived in my neighborhood/went to school with in 6th and 7th grade. We would ride our bikes everywhere and ding dong ditch and all that stuff.
I moved a town over in 8th grade and never talked to him again, and about a year after high school I found out he arranged a meeting to sell someone some weed and instead robbed/shot and killed him. Got 30 years.
Turns out he wasn't the brightest fella.

I knew a guy who brutally murdered his wife. The only thing that shocked me about it was that it took me by surprise when I found out about it while watching the news. When I saw the story come on as the first story of the news segment, my first thought was "holy fricking shite, he actually did it!".
It's pathetic, but I was not shocked at all by it.

Made a post about him earlier in the thread. I do not know him, but if anyone here does, which I am sure there are plenty, does anyone have an update on this guy ?

I knew a guy in high school that lived in a house with a father that beat the wife and kids. Story he told me years after the fact was he came home one afternoon and his father was beating the mother. He got a baseball bat and beat him to death. The mother told him to leave and she took responsibility and claimed self defense. She was eventually found not guilty but everyone in town knew what happened. No one was really upset, because it wasn’t a secret what the father was like. Guess he had had enough…

Not a murderer but I was good friends with a guy as a kid who was dismembered and buried in cement over a drug deal. His girlfriend and her boyfriend killed him. They didn’t find his body for quite a while

This sounds like the plot of a 1990's country music song.

I find it crazy some of you know multiple murderers, much less one.
I don't even know people who have committed serious crimes much less murder. The closest i have is an idiot neighborhood friend i grew up with who got into drugs later in life robbed a gas station and went to the parish jail for a little while, and i hadn't talked to him in probably 15 years when he did that.

Sounds like fiction, but real life event in a small South Carolina town.

Sucks that I can't find info on the one I referenced. Happened in 1980 in St. Bernard.

When I was a kid, my dad came across a man and his wife with a will work for food sign. Dad brought them home and gave them a job at our business. At any time, they could have robbed us or kill us over money. They stayed a couple of months and saved up enough money and left.
A couple of months later the FBI showed up. They said the man was a serial killer and we were lucky. We had a sizable amount of money every day before we deposited it in the bank. They guy wrote us from jail thanking us for helping them at the time and he wanted to give me their car. Mom said no because I might have gotten pulled over and the police might have thought I was him.
