You think if you played an audio clip of kirby smart talking to some random non football fan on the west coast they would immediately say "oh that guy's from georgia"

They would without a shadow of a doubt know he's from the South. I'm not entirely sure what point you're attempting to make here but whatever it is, it's wrong.
holy hell my palms got sweaty watching that.

if kentucky and ga southern count as rivals, then who ISN'T a rival?

But it does though. Dawg fans in Valdosta and Waycross are way more likely to say Florida than Dawg fans in Atlanta.

you missed the point entirely. Like completely.

Asking an invidual person who they hate more, or who THEY personally think is a "bigger rival" is 100% and totally irrelevant to who the University of Georgia's biggest rival actually is.

it's interesting that it identifies florida pretty strongly as our main rival.

those respondees are all probably under the age of 45 and spent their formative years watching us get bludgeoned by UF yearly while we've owned tech during the same time span. I'm not surprised people think that way but it doesn't actually make it reality.

Seems that malls may be making a comeback, at least in some areas.

I like how in the two pictures they showed of people returning to malls, there is a notable absence of the reason why many people don't currently go to malls now.

Depends on where you are from

you're actually making a point in my favor. The main rival of the University of Georgia doesn't flip flop in the breeze based on where John Q Dawgfan resides. It is permanent and unchanging. A guy in columbus hating AU or a guy in Rome hating TN doesn't mean a hill of beans as it relates to what UGA's biggest rival actually is.

Which is tech.

tech is our biggest rival

UF/AU are 2 A/B and anyone could make a hell of an argument for either one of them and not be wrong.
I just voted, then at the screen that come after it gave me the option to vote again. How many times can you vote?

Surprised Athens isn’t higher on the list. You’d think a college town an hour from Atlanta would be a hot real estate market.

Go check out the real estate prices in downtown condos or a semi-nice house within 2 miles of campus and your jaw will drop.

The thing with Athens is that once you get a bit removed from the nice normal parts, it gets dumpy REAL quick. Like housing project/ghettos. I'm sure that the $750K+ gameday condos downtown are equalized out by the absolute garbage dumps a few miles down the road.
Question for those that were found to have polyps or even cancer...did you notice any warning signs or symptoms? I know the one guy said he had constipation issues for a while, but did anyone else notice or feel anything "off" beforehand?

I feel healthy as a horse as it relates to my bowels and gut but I recently turned 40 so this thread is making me think I need to have this procedure done like yesterday.

Vestavia Hills: 149 to AU / 90 to Bama

this is surprising to me. Granted it's HIGHLY anecdotal but I live in Vestavia and it seems like the bama fans aroudn here outnumber the auburn fans like 10 to 1. Obviously this isn't scientific and just based on car flags, house flags, T-shirts, etc. so not actaully a legit study in any way. I guess I would have just thought those enrollment numbers wouldn't have been so highly skewed in auburn's favor.

Question for you- why do you think that is? It is JUST the difference in academic requirements for incoming freshman or something else?
if we aren't the 3 or 4 seed I'm gonna be pissed. I don't really know anythign about UNC but I see them up there a bunch so I don't really have anything to say against them if they are ahead of us. But it appears taht AU and TX are the other comptition with us for seeding and there is not a single rational reason whatsoever that either one shoudl be ahead of us. NONE.

in theory HOAs are great

what theory is that

the entire, sole reason they exist at all, their entire purpose for being, is to maintain property values. That's it.

You may not care if your neighbor has grass up to his elbows, a chicken coop in the front yard, a few cars on blocks, and half his siding missing, but other people might care about that.

They can, but they won't. Just ignore them.

"they" is not just the retarded bunch of retirees with too mcuh time on their hands like shown in these videos. "They" is a legal entity with legally binding governing documents filed in court that gives the Assocaition the authoity to fine you, put a lien on your house, or file suit against you to take you to court to compel action against you.

It's funny that so many people think an HOA is just a bunch of old folks sending out meaningless letters that don't actually mean anything. An HOA serves a very real and very valid purpose, but as is the case with MANY things, they are typically only as useful as the actual human being people that are in charge of htem.
quote:

If you live under an HOA, you're just giving a gang of Karens another level of "government" to push on normal people.

Great thing there's a massively easy solution to this; if you don't want to live an HOA you don't have to buy a house in one.

Is Mississippi State recruiting heavily in Alabama or do a lot of MSU grads end up in Birmingham and their kids choose it because of family ties?

Idk the answer to either, but Starkville is the closest sec campus to the state border I think. You can get from Tuscaloosa to Starkville in about 45 minutes. I have to think proximity has to play some kind of role.
