Funny thing in 1999 I sat with some Bear parents for semifianal with ECA and in pregame they were lamenting being on the same side of the bracket with ECA. I simply pointed out that so y'all think being on the West Monroe side would be better? Reminding them that bears were like 2-6 vs that monroe district since moving up to state's highest class.....

I will say it again, that is a rock solid staff.

The LHSAA does a very poor job with its officiating. All weekend long the officials were poor and in some situations didn’t seem to apply the rules correctly. Also, you play the whole season with no replay review and all of a sudden you use it in the championship game. Officials have nothing to do with wether or not a play is reviewed. All scoring plays and turnovers are reviewed by booth.

What rules were not applied correctly?

The time has been explained multiple times.


Overall the officiating was very solid in the 8 games.

the clock was stopped for penalty enforcement when the TO was called. Under 2 mins of a half offended team has option for starting clock on ready for play or snap, provided the clocked would not have ordinarily been stopped after play IE incomplete pass or ball out of bounds.
