Grew up next to a kid that murdered someone later. His mom was a crackhead. He was undoubtedly exposed to cocaine in the womb. He was wild as a kid because he wasn't being raised by anyone. Not surprised he ended up in prison.

I knew a guy who committed a murder/suicide. I went to HS and lived near the girl he murdered. He was always a douche bag

One was a known oddball who killed his mom and tried to kill his dad.

The other was a borderline retard who killed someone in a gang fight and turned on everyone else to get a lighter sentence. Probably the smartest thing he ever did.

You know the first one was released from prison a few years ago?

I'm not sure who you talking about for the 2nd one.

I knew a guy in HS some that killed 3 people and shot a 4th. Like he'd hang out with our friend group and we'd drink beer together. I hadn't seen him since highschool though and he killed those people many years later.

Ryan Sharp. He's doing life at Angola.

I taught a murderer

same. i was an adjunct professor at HCCS back in the 90s and taught night classes and the dean pulled me aside before one semester and said "just so you know, X was just released to a halfway house for a murder conviction"

turns out that's a common theme..a community college thing for convicts to take classes.

yeah he got an A. didn't care if he did his work or not

sue me. i'm still alive.

A guy I knew back in the day is in prison for murder.

He was the boyfriend of my girlfriend at the time's best friend. I wouldn't go so far as to call him a buddy, but I knew him well enough that we'd stop and chat if we happened to run into each other. He didn't have a car, so he'd occasionally call me for a ride somewhere. If I wasn't busy, I'd usually drive him wherever he wanted to go.

Anyway, one afternoon he calls me and says "Hey man I need a ride to a pawn shop on the westbank."

Something in his voice - whether it was the tone, or how he phrased his request - made me very uneasy.

"Sorry, I'm busy. Wish I could help."

He told me it wasn't a problem, then hung up.

An hour or so later he called me again with the same request. He sounded a little frantic.

"Look," I said. "I can't help you. I'm busy."

A few days later he was arrested for murder. He was calling me to drive him to the pawn shop to sell the items he had stolen from the victim's house.

Kind of fricked up that I was almost involved in this. Even more fricked up that I was acquaintances with a guy who was capable of such a thing.

Yeah I heard Clay got out a few years ago.

The second one is the son of a former teacher at the school. One of the guys he flipped on was involved in a high profile court case disputing the sentence.

One of my middle/high school friends got into financial and drug trouble and hired someone to kill his family for the insurance money. Staged it to look like a robbery got interrupted and the guy killed his mom and brother and seriously wounded his dad.

One of the accomplices (getaway driver I think) eventually cracked and turned them all in. The guy I knew fled to Mexico then was eventually extradited and sent to TX death row.

His death sentence was commuted to life without parole last minute.

My supervisor at a part-time summer job while I was in HS killed his wife and went to prison.

A man I used to go to church with killed his wife, and then himself.

He wasn't a killer himself, but a classmate (who was a cross dresser) was shot in the face and dumped in a ditch right outside of Ft Rucker shortly after we graduated HS.

A guy who was a year ahead of me in high school and played football with. He and another guy killed someone and dumped the body where they thought no one would find it, but some loggers came across it a couple of years or so later.
Dope is a hell of a thing. (That’s the rumor anyway that it was drug related)

Knew two personally.

One was from my town and a nice guy. He relocated to Florida, got a girlfriend, and they moved in together. He wigged out one day, shot her in their apartment parking lot, and then turned the gun on himself.

The other was a guy I knew in college. He was convicted of second degree murder and got life without parole for beating his wife to death with a baseball bat. Bobby Jindal pardoned him.

I know a guy who did some time for embezzlement. It was at a federal, med/min security prison though. Not pound-me-in-the-arse prison. There's a big difference. He can't vote though, so I guess it's still a pretty serious situation.

I know a couple others too actually from my hometown that are in Angola for murder. One stabbed a woman over 30 times in front of her children. Kast I heard he was dying of rectal cancer (karma?). The other killed his girlfriend and her dad at point blank range with a 12 gauge shotgun.

I was a bus boy in high school. One of the servers was very intimidating, simply looked like he’d be in a gang, so I made sure we were cool. Part of my job was to make sure things were iced down, so I manned the ice machine. He’d store his codeine for his lean in my machine, and I never said a word about it until now.

Found out he ended up murdering someone a few years after we worked together.

Matt Pineda was a classmate of my sister's. The day after he killed that old couple, he went to school. My sister asked him if he was ok because he seemed out of it and had scratches all over him.

quote:

Matthew Pineda, a 16-year-old honor student and star wide receiver for John Curtis High School, was convicted of murdering two neighbors. James and Frances Wheat surprised him after he broke into what he thought was an empty house 26 years ago and he stabbed them.

ETA: I just googled him, and it looks like he was paroled a few years ago.

A relative of mine killed his brother with a shotgun in an argument over not riding in an ATV with a loaded gun after a dove hunt. Their dad then wrestled the gun away and shot the younger brother. He lived and is in jail charged with first degree murder. This was in Scooba, MS 5-6 years ago. Pretty sure it made its way to the Outdoor Board when it happened

Yes. Was in Jr. High with a kid that killed his dad. Kid was a fricking psycho dope head. Snuck out of his house one night, got fricked up, and came home and shot his dad with 4 different guns.
