This attitude is the problem with the internet, you want instant gratification. JD is getting dragged for this situation, LSU should play the long game and be patient. At the end of the day the LSU brand will win out

Using 2024 numbers comparing Big Bend sectors numbers to other sectors is disingenuous. Of course it doesn’t have the apprehensions as the other sectors, there were too many other places to cross the border. The problem comes when there is a border wall covers the entire border except for the open Big Bend sector. That’s when those numbers will change

The problem comes with policies like the Biden administration implemented. All you had to do was reach US soil and claim asylum. That’s it, that got you a ticket into the country. So if there is a border wall covering 90% of the border, that 10% without a wall will be exploited under a democrat administration.
There is too much money to be made by the cartels and too many potential democrat voters to think they will do anything else.

I was 11 years old in 1989 when Coach Bertman and Big Ben led the Tiger back to Omaha. I always played baseball but that was the season I fell in love with baseball, especially LSU baseball. He was one of my childhood idols and those teams were bigger than life to me. We listened to almost every game on the radio until we got to watch them on tv, which usually was the regionals and the CWS. Also, we never missed a Winn-Dixie Classic, went every year and saw every game. He will be missed by many, especially by me.

If you get a chance, read his book Everything Matters in Baseball: The Skip Bertman Story. It’s a good read
