Look, it may not have all the bells and whistles. Sure it doesn't have central AC, it's under 1000 sqft and it's about 110 years old, but your great grandparents handled that just fine.

If this is beneath you, then maybe you don't actually want somewhere to live and just want to bitch and complain.

I think me as a pest control employee and my wife as a bank teller could easily afford that

I don't work and my wife is a barista and we have an appointment at the bank this afternoon to see if we will qualify for financing on it.

I tell my grandson, a penny saved is a penny served. He needs to cut out the Starbucks and Netflix and he’ll be on his way in no time.

$5k in US $20 Gold Coins, which were circulating legal tender, would amount to 250 coins.

Each coin is presently worth a minimum of $4,200.00.

250 coins X $4,200.00/coin = $1,050,000.00

Probably should have rented and instead invested the difference over the 110 years.

You should be fine, for a similar priced house my buddy got qualified as a beanie baby philanthropist and his wife collects rare blades of Bermuda grass

Look on the bright side, you’ll get to rebuild it to the exact specs you want in a year or two when it floods.

950 SF is a perfect starter home for a family of four.

My wife and I live in a 950 SF home and we have room for all sorts of activities since we got bunk beds.

I dont get what point you are making with one overpriced listing

There are 20-30 better homes in that price range in Metairie. Below are a few

Someone with money is going to buy it and tear it down to build something bigger.

it's why i can't watch HGTV.

"My wife rasies butterflies. I am an American History teacher at the local middle school. I'm also the Assistant Girl's Track Team Coach. Our budget for this kitchen and bathroom rennovation project is $275k. We're hoping to keep it under $325k total"

I'm stealing this one for my collection. Much better than the bespoke salamander farmer and etsy merkin artist I usually use.

Remember when you made a post every day for 9 months telling us the housing market was going to collapse at any moment? Man what a time.
