Sad news. I still remember the first time I heard eruption being played at my friends house. It was a musical sensation I had never felt before, RIP.

Most everybody knows Eruption, and it is awesome. But has another solo on the album Van Halen II called Spanish Fly. If you've never heard it you should You Tube it. It's only about a minute long, but it's amazing the sounds he can make a guitar make. It sounds more like a keyboard or something than a guitar. If you listen to it, don't pick the acoustic version.

Eddie placed his famous guitar in Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott's casket at his funeral. Now they're both gone. This world is getting worse and worse.

Eddie was my first (and last) celebrity hero. He was the guitar hero I always dreamed of being. Thank you for the memories, Eddie! RIP.
