That really soured me on EVH and AVH. And I was a HUGE VH fan back in the day. Absolutely my favorite band.
There's an interview somewhere with Hagar calling out the Van Halens saying all the bs and drama with him aside, they did Michael Anthony wrong and should be ashamed or something.

Eddie was a fixture at the Square in Shreveport in the early days. Never knew when he would show up at one of the clubs and Jam.
I would've payed an absurd amount of money to see something like this.

It’s such a disgrace they had his fat kid play bass instead of Michael Anthony

quote:Most bands seem to end up hating each other, and Eddie and Alex were known to be dicks, as was the massively vapid Roth. But, the music was still legendary. I saw them twice, with Roth in 1984 and with Hagar in 1986. I still have the pick Eddie threw out to the audience after playing Eruption in 86 at the Cajun Dome. Only front row seats I ever had to an arena concert.

Saw them on 1984, 5150, first row at UNO for OU812. Last tour I caught them in Biloxi for the frick tour.

Everybody mentions Eruption but my favorite was "Cathedral". It sounds like an old pipe organ.

And yet, Ozzy and Keith Richards still above ground.
Weird.
Weird.

Much respect to the legend. RIP EVH

His dying wish was for Lady Gaga to leave America

Oh man. One of my childhood idols. One of the reasons I picked up a guitar. One of the GOATs. I ordered a new EVH 2x12 cab today in fact.

I caught an EVH guitar pick at an OU812 concert that was my most prized possession from age 14 to probably 23.

Are you familiar with the story of the Florida Gator fans who taunted the LSU Student Section with a homemade sheet/sign prior to the legendary 1997 #1 UF at LSU game?
If yes, I'll explain further. If not, the answer won't mean much to you.
