okay, just for amusement, you are the judge. How do you rule?
that change in 1971 was under a 'gentlemen's agreement' with the SEC for the two teams to wear contrasting jerseys ---- because so many people had black and white TVs , which would have made more sense in the mid to late 1960's but with more and more people getting color making this rule effective in 1971 was really weird. But it was for all conference games, not just tv ones.

Tennessee was as much about wearing 'orange jerseys' home and away as LSU was about wearing white jerseys home and away. Tennessee and Auburn in that time frame was almost as big as Tenn-Ala or Aub-Ala. For the 1972 Tennessee-Auburn game at Legion Field in Birmingham the Vols felt Auburn had surpassed their alloted number of games to scout in person and chose to wear Orange that year. Unranked Auburn upset #4 Tennessee, 10-6.

Late to the party on this one. Who is "he", who was "her" and what does this have to do with Lindsay Clancy?
Idaho ???? California,Oregon,Washington I can see. But Idaho? That's disturbing.
I would hope so. I still think he was a great player for us but received and listened to some bad advise. I'll never forget OT vs Alabama nor the Florida game the next year. I hope he does issue some sort of apology, but it needs to happen sooner than later.

And where is Nebraska now?

What on Earth does this have to do with anything their 1995 team accomplished?
I'm not a Beshear fan at all. But as Kentucky's governor he's got a right, if not duty, to get updates on one of the state's senators.
Early leader in the clubhouse for 2028 DNC Keynote speaker.
Oh,my goodness! This is hilarious. :rotflmao: Are you on the stage?

Please share some more amusing anecdotes.
On the flipside I'm really surprised (in a good way)how aggressively Masssachusetts is going after Clancy. After last Monday's Abortion 365/24/7 law/bill I was concerned the state would make her a hero.

Well, sir. Where we live in a suburb south of Birmingham proper, we have been waiting for the repaving, straightening of a 3/4 mile road going on 20 months. It's a pretty heavily used "connector" road and our city council just shrugs and blames ALDOT, who doesn't seem to care either. Insane.

Oh, my goodness! That's terrible. He lived fairly close to me and I remember joining him at Waffle House every now and then and talking basketball.

Sad.
Do they just try to be the most annoying league in the universe?
Looking at her arms, Mama must be a nursing home assistant.
The 'new era' Democrats just gave the RNC a layup this week and hopefully they (RNC) will use it to their advantage with commercials, ads, etc. Just this week alone Massachusetts passed an abortion bill with zero restrictions or time frame even. And this was done to euphoric applause from demented supporters as the Governor signed the bill. And now the "pet" sport, WNBA has a disaster on its hands with white stars being villified for being white and straight. And now with former NBA players claiming to be trannies and wanting to play the WNBA can't come to an agreement on what a woman is.

And if that isn't enough Muslims are being elected and hailed as heroes ...all as the 25th anniversary of 9/11 is around the corner.

Surely the RNC will showcase their opponent constantly shooting themselves in the foot.

You made a dumb post and made it even dumber with wrong facts. The 2006 Sugar Bowl was Georgia vs WVU in Atlanta.
Susan Olsen, her real name. Every Friday night on ABC at 7 from 2nd through 6th grade I never missed The Brady Bunch.

I just commented on a post on x the 2006 sugar bowl is more memorable to me than any game he had

The Georgia-West Virginia game is more memorable than ANY game Jayden Daniels had? This is just stupid.
What the man did was simply amazing. His first year,1984, was my SR year at LSU. No offense to the prior coach as he had virtually no backing from the school, but in 1983 or 1982 it wasn't unusal to see as many SE La, Nichols fans at the Box as LSU fans. Just zero buzz on campus for LSU baseball.

He almost got LSU in the SEC Tournament his first year (still had a 4 team format at that time) , then made the CWS in 1986--which no one ever thought would happen, and you know the rest.

But at that same time football and basketball were still king and baseball became 'popular' but still nothing like you see now. Then in the late 1980s LSU football began to struggle and generally produced some poor teams before ending a six year streak of losing seasons in 1995. Basketball, after four Elite 8s and two Final Fours from 1980-1987 began to disappoint. Support hadn't waned but even with amazing talent the team sputtered and disapponted. Basketball soon fell apart in 1994.

LSU baseball just took over the SEC and NCAA in baseball. Because of LSU's domination and CWS titles and other CWS appearances "LSU Baseball" distanced itself from college baseball being called a "niche sport." Throughout the 1990s when football and basketball provide some good moments but generally disappointment, LSU baseball became a source of pride. Even our SEC brethren when discussing LSU's football and basketball woes had to concede LSU baseball was a monster.

Thanks for all you did for LSU,Coach. :geauxtigers:
