I think quite a bit about early man’s trial and error approach to food.

“Welp, Grug vomited and died, and Broud didnt. Guess Pufferfish is no good, but Oysters are OK, boys”.

What you talking about? The guy who invented shoes is Emil Fischer, he invented them in 8674 BC in Germany.
Emil Fischer was loved by his community as a problem solver.

He was far more popular than his step-brother Ernst Fischer who invented Legos in 8673 BC.

I was listening to Dan Carlin lately and he mentioned how ancient armies would just show up in a place and nobody that lived there knew who they were.

Where? Did he release a new show?

I'm sure that Adam and Eve had sex numerous times, but did they know that it might result in pregnancy?

Who was the first man to stick his erect penis in a woman's vagina with the understanding that it might produce a baby?

The oyster thing is a tired cliche and used in all of these discussions.

Who saw goo dripping out of rotten grapes and said, “Think I’ll squeeze those, collect the spoiled juice and drink it”?

I want to know about the first person to domesticate a cat. Like, what on earth led you to think an animal with sharp claws, sharp teeth, can jump 10X its body length, and kills other animals for food would want belly pets?

What made them do that? Was it an accident where the meat slipped out of his hand and landed on the coals? Did they smell the meat burning on the coals and their mouth started watering? Was it done on purpose? If so, what was the reasoning? They didnt know that heat killed germs. They didnt know about germs.

Taste. Biologists believe that they probably came upon a wildfire and saw game burned up in it and tried it. They liked the taste and decided it was the way to go.

—what do you think fermented grapes means? They are spoiled, gone-bad, rotten. It’s called,”noble rot”.

So imagine being the first person—the OP’s question—who decided to taste gone-bad juice.

When I was a kid it dawned on me that we know what berries and mushrooms are poisonous probably due to trial and error.
