Every single day I realize that one of those descriptors fit.

Bad? No. I have zero empathy nor innate moral compass. I recognized it when I was young and have personal rules I follow.

A large number of people would call me an a-hole.

A large number of those same people would call me if their life depended on it.

I accepted that I could never be the person who is genuinely nice when I was very young.

I'm an a-hole, I try to better myself daily. Usually my bluntness or lack of a filter is what stamps the a-hole on my forehead. Most of the time its my lack of situational awareness and always trying to impress that gets me labeled.

I struggle with acts of kindness that seem forced and I find myself judging folks that do acts of kindness for the notoriety or to make themselves feel better about their self-worth. It's like the act of kindness needs to feel natural and not forced...

Yeah I say I’m retarded all the time when I do something dumb.

My most recent was playing chess. I was about to win the game and accidentally tapped on the wrong square to move my piece. Then called myself retarded because the other player then had the chance to win and did.

Kind words are too often nothing but meaningless platitudes.

I’m always an a-hole, but I had 0 male influences on me who were nurturing, soft, or showed emotion. I think I hugged my dad one time in my entire life. My favorite people to hang out with are bitter old men.

I have. Although I was what most consider popular in school and my 20s around the time I turned 25 I began to realize the things I said jokingly, cheating, womanizing, etc… was not a joke to the other person and was actually hurting them. Naive maybe, but I honestly had no idea the harm I was doing to others….
Once I became aware of it everything changed. Although I have changed my childish behavior I often feel I am repaying a debt to karma for these things. Sometimes I have thought the bad karma would never end.
Today I strive to be a more positive person and see the good in others. It can be a struggle at times but sooner or later the good or bad that you do is going to come back around….

I am all 3, but mostly a dumbass.

Do you know what’s the difference tween an a-hole and a prick?

An a-hole knows they’re an a-hole.
