I'm an expert at making it look like it do chores.

My average day--I get up in the morning, go fishing then a recliner nap. Then get dressed and start smoking some herb. I then complete one task outside. That task could be bush hogging on the tractor, etc. Today that task is pointing and planing cherry lumber for a panel glue up.

My only inside chore I do is fishes. I dont mind them. If anything needs done in the house besides that, it's my wife's responsibility to either do it or hire cleaners to do it.

But a lot of breaks 8n between all of that to take care of my animals and sit on my front porch and smoke more herb (what I'm doing right this second).
Shithole country.

We don't want those low IQ chili choppers crossing the Rio Grande anymore.

If you fight or compete under a foreign flag, you're not a "real" American. If you receive your medal on the podium while a different country's national anthem plays, then you're not an American.
He's right in that I'm not attending an in person sporting event in a shithole area filled with degenerate fans that get drunk and want to fight or act stupid. I'd rather watch at home.

Adding to the previous post, I got the Graceland building and insulated it with Rockwool. I put in a mini split and use it for some of my woodworking machines like jointer, planer, dust collection and table saw.

Lumber is high. Even pine construction lumber hurts to buy. A Graceland or Tuff Shed will work and not be much savings if you built it yourself.

I buy a shite ton of hardwood lumber and if my sawmill guy doesn't have what I need and if I have to go to DFW and pay retail, it's shocking. Luckily I have a stockpile of cherry that will last for years. Good walnut running about $14/bf makes a 1x6x10' over 70 bucks for that one board.

I thought about building a woodshed a few years ago and just bought a Graceland 12x36 instead.

It's been a few years, so I dont have much to add other than Florence is great. We were with another couple so we were in an Air B&B for a few days there.

But Trattoria Dall'Oste is amazing (the one on San Lorenzo). The pasta and steak Florentine were great. And right across the street is Nino and Friends, a huge chocolate shop that has all kinds of samples and everything is worth buying.
Yep. That's her.

Thanks OT for helping me out.
Haha. Im not getting on my wife's phone and screenshotting some woman's pics to post on here. I dont have Facebook.
Saw this on the loval news. There are pictures on Facebook, I checked from my wife's Facebook. Here in Sherman, TX which is in my are and just across the Red River from me. Kelly Buck, 36, went to Texas A&M and lives in Plano.

KXII

The mugshot pic is not great but it looks like she was probably bawling after now facing a state jail felony.

In before where we're drunk pediatric dentists when I was a id.
I've never fished Ouchita, but I catch a bunch of stripers year round on Texoma.

Anyone that says stripers don't taste good aren't cleaning them properly. Most guides and people at the fish cleaning stations just do a normal filet. That's fine, but it won't taste good if you cook it that way.

Get every single bit of red out. Pinch the start of the red on the filet at the tail end between your thumb and finger then rip it out. You'll get almost all of the Red out that way and then a little touching up with a knife and then you'll have one of the best tasting filets around.

My wife is an expert at ripping the filets. Next time I go fishing later this week, I'll take a little video of her doing it. It makes all the difference in the world on striper filets.
I clicked on this thinking it was going to be about woodworking butt joints. My top 3 butt joints i use are mortise & tenon, dowels and dovetails. Followed by splined miter joints with the splines a different color for contrast.

Im going to be doing some doweling with my DowelMax jig later this afternoon. If anyone ever gets into woodworking, i highly suggest the DowelMax jig.
I've done mostly blue collar jobs (I'd classify over 20 years in the Army on an Abrams tank as blue collar). I did some white collar adjacent work doing land and real estate appraisals. I got to the point that I quit and retired for good 6 years ago because I hated desk time. Hated phone calls, computer work and all of that. I was used to being outside making shite happen in all weather conditions and sweating a bit every day. I was smart enough and capable enough to work in a white collar world, but I was set in my ways.

I have no doubt a lot of white collar workers could transition if it meant survival. At that point you wouldn't have a choice, but you'd hate every single day of it. I did in the opposite scenario.

Do you think there's any chance of the USOC and US Government putting more resources into winter sports after LA?

Resources? As long as it's not tax dollars. If Coke and Frito Lay want to pony up cash for better Olympic production, whatever. But I would go ballistic if DC politicians raised taxes to help support some bullshite like that.
That's the way it should be. BasNIL money through sponsorships.

I don't care if other countries support their athletes. I don't want tax dollars going towards sponsoring people to play sports just because "they represent the country."

If there was a market for Olymsports in this country, they'd be wealthy. But most Americans don't want to spend towards Olympic sports. Look at the NCAA for crying out loud. The Olympic sports lose frick tins of money because no one even pays attention.

GSPs are great. But I'm as busy as a guy can be for not having a job. My English bulldog is 10 and she's fun but also chill. She loves people and going places, but she loves the couch almost just as much. I love GSPs but just like kids, I don't mind seeing them but I dont want to have to take care if them.

ETA--I'm at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, OK with my bulldog now and she'll stay in the room for hours and not touch a thing or make a peep. Just patiently wait for me or my wife to take her outside so she can see people and have fun.
Most HVAC guys are booked solid, so they're going to quote you ridiculously high prices because they don't want small, simple jobs like that. If you find a good handyman type to do it, you'll get by much cheaper.
I put one of those DIY mini splits in one of my small shop buildings. Mr Cool 18k unit. Very easy to install by myself. Just ran a 20 amp 240v line to an outdoor disconnect and a hole saw and you're dang near done.

The lines sets are already charged with freon. They're dang near impossible to mess up the installation.
My wife was a college softball pitcher and also very good batter. She still holds high school records almost 20 years later. Her daughter sucks at sports and it really bothered my wife for quite a while.
