Most NFL fans that go to games are less trashy than one would see at LSU and most SEC stadiums
not in my experience

Carry in a flask and take 400mg of caffeine before you walk in.

LSU's endowment is 700 or 800M. Alabama's is 1.3B
There are roughly the same number of trees on LSU campus as there are seniors who will receive degrees.

They will win 6-7 this year. Buck up. At least you aren't a Kentucky fan.

I'm about there. The trafffic. The concessions. The product. Told my husband the other day I may not make all games this year. Not giving up any of our tickets though .

I still look forward to the games and tailgating as much as ever after 40 years. It’s 7/8 parties a year with people I enjoy, all centered around my fav teams games. We do it much smarter now with strategically purchased parking passes and Condo near campus. I hope to continue the tradition till I can’t walk up the ramps.

Going to the games became a hassle. It was once fun I guess but now it is just a 12-hour hassle from the moment you get to campus to leaving campus. I have a better view on my tv, can eat what I want, drink as much as I want, and not deal with drunken idiots.

I began that tradition when I was at LSU

Not for LSU and Saints games.
Its a night and day difference

But I'm not feeling it anymore. Just sorta done.
Sounds like you might want to get your low T checked out.

The parking is the worst part of it for me.

Going to my first away game( Miami) and I'm not a baller. Tickets hitting around $300 a piece

I much prefer going to a Saints game vs a LSU game. It’s not even close.
Sure if you enjoy being surrounded by Yats, White trash, and hood rats...it's great.

Let's not pretend that LSU tailgates/games are full of the upper echelon of society

You are not alone. I have never been really big into the tailgate scene just because I don't have time to spend the entire day on campus. I do enjoy dropping by to see friends but not being out there all day. I go to watch the game and not for the social event. That's been my biggest frustration. The seats around me on the west sidelines have become more and more corporate and the people who come are not really interested in the game but in getting obnoxiously drunk, taking selfies, going to the concession stand 10 times during the game, standing up on the seats to wave trying to get the attention of their friends on the other side of the stadium, or they are fans of the other team (which is usually better). So, I admit it...i've become a "get off my yard" yelling old man. This year I debated on renewing until the very last minute but the sentimental nostalgia of going to games is hard to overcome.

Its a different feel when you go to the games as a college kid. Especially back during a certain time frame. Mine being during the 2006-2011 seasons when LSU was kicking arse left and right.
After i graduated it was fun tailgating and going to the bars and stuff. Seeing how others party it up and cheer on the team if they didn't go to the games. Like at Freds, or Walk-ons, or wherever. Didn't care to go to the game much unless it was like in a suite (subtle brag).
But now, meh. Don't really care to go. Maybe to the season openers here in DFW or in Houston cause we have those season tickets but other than that, don't mind going to lil woodrows

It's just a pain in the arse if you don't live near campus.
Game days were my favorite days of the year when I lived on campus. Couldn't have been any better.
Now that I live in NOLA, I'm only going to the marquee games, and even that is a stretch. You would have to pay me to go to some garbage game against South eastern or something like that. Best case scenario, the game is exciting for all of 1 quarter and we blow them out with both teams looking to just run out the clock after halftime. Worst case we lose and I just wasted an entire day watching that crap.
