re: Higher prices + No shipping or Lower prices + Shipping? - FieldMink
No way I'm paying 40% of the item's cost for an item weighing less than a pound that they're going to stick in an envelope and put in the US mail for $3.
And to that i completely understand. I know for here however its roughly $6.70 for standard shipping using USPS. Etsy varies bas...

re: Higher prices + No shipping or Lower prices + Shipping? - FieldMink
it would take a week to get them
Good thing about what i sell is that it usually take about 1-3 days. USPS is pretty fast surprisingly. Least so far with the things i've sent out. Of course it'll take longer going to place like new york and jersey. Usually my customers tend to g...

re: Higher prices + No shipping or Lower prices + Shipping? - FieldMink
I get that. I know right now for instance i have deal/special running to where if said customer buys x amount or more of the product, they'll get free shipping. Also one to where if they buy x amount (different amount), they'll receive 15% off the total ($3 off shipping technically). Originally ...

re: Higher prices + No shipping or Lower prices + Shipping? - FieldMink
I notice most big retailers charge a shipping fee. At least $5 or so. Some do a "buy x amount and get free shipping". But in terms of something valuing about $8-$10 dollars, shipping fee's would eat most of the profit for the seller. So would someone be willing to pay $13-$15 for that same produ...

re: Body cam video released: San Francisco police kill man in car’s trunk - FieldMink
You deserve to die if you're going to try and kill someone.
Does that go both ways or is that just one sided? Nonetheless the guy was dumb for pulling out and shooting at cops but he already had his mind made up that he wasn't going to make it home that night. 99 rounds is ridi...

Higher prices + No shipping or Lower prices + Shipping? - FieldMink
Posed this question in the money thread earlier but wanted to get the OT's opinion as well. Which do you prefer: Higher prices + no shipping fees or Lower prices + shipping fees Find there's mixed feelings on whether to prefer shipping fees or not. Of course based on how much the prod...

re: Etsy business sellers/buyers - FieldMink
Right now i have a flat, same rate shipping fee for my products (handcrafted beaded bracelets: Embody'd Art on Etsy and facebook if you'd like to check it out) and noticed a difference in return compared to how much im selling it for. Didn't realize how much shipping would cut into your profit un...
I'll never understand how ppl get into CC debt, well maybe in very rare circumstances.
Its not all about buying things out of your mean. For instance, i had this older car that was practically falling apart but i needed it to get me from A to B so taking it to the shop, needing ...

Thoughts: Paying off credit card debts with one huge loan - FieldMink
Has anyone here on the TD done this? Or would suggest this? I see all of these "pay your debts with one loan" deals which seems sometimes legit. Purchase a big loan, knock all your debts out and only have the one loan to pay back overall. However i can imagine the monthly payment being fairly high (...

re: Paying off debt update/questions - FieldMink
True, i know at first i tumbled with the idea of doing this and read the actual interest rate fee and the extra. I saw that the transferred amount was more than i owed (at the time) for the loan. I'll keep an eye on it to see....

re: Paying off debt update/questions - FieldMink
I got ya! So basically i pay discover back directly and in essence the loan is "taken care of" least on the lenders part. So basically i just need to toss money at discover and pay it all off. Luckily it was a 0 transfer and 0 interest for 12 months. ...

Paying off debt update/questions - FieldMink
Gents, i have a quick question. Some of you might recall last year (doubtfully but maybe) that i mentioned i'm trying to pay down some debt and finance better. Since then i've decreased my 401k contributions which has allowed me to see more in my check and put more towards my credit card pay...
