Anybody else just sorta burned out on going to LSU football games?

I read all the purported reasons why attendance is in decline (traffic, ticket prices, concessions, piped-in music, hi-def television, etc), and I agree they are all good reasons and it's not just an LSU problem. But it's not any one factor more than another.
I'm an alum and have had tickets for 27 years. I used to do road games and all that shite. But I'm not feeling it anymore. Just sorta done. Maybe I would really enjoy attending one game a year, but I am done making this effort 7-8 times a year. I just don't care as much as I once did.
Am I alone here?

Slippy, 27 years of going all out as a fan is a long time. If you'd like to take it a bit more easy now after all of these years, I think that you've earned that right.

I go to 2 games a year. That's all I need and all I'm willing to pay to watch kids run up and down a field.

Yes, no one ever complains about the piped in music, the band not being able to play songs they like, the shitty concessions, the horrible 3 games a year, the fact you have to pay to park anywhere close, the fact that traffic is a mess getting into and out of games, no alcohol served during the games, etc....
You are the only one that is burned out. It like death by 1000 cuts.

LIving away from Baton Rouge
Inconvenience of night games and traffic to get home
Tied up w other family responsibilities
Sofa, home, dollar beers are the best

Sec Network pretty much keeps me at a tailgate and then back to the house. And the piped-in music. I still try to make 2 SEC games.

I'm more excited this year than I have been in a long time. Why? Because no one really knows what to expect from this team on the offensive side of the ball. Plus, you have your CEO doubters as well. Expectations may have been set too high in recent years given our line's deterioration.
I used to have season tickets but gave them up a couple of years ago. Last year, was the first year I didn't attend any LSU home games in person. So, this year, I'm excited. I'm optimistic. I still don't like the piped in music. And I prefer a true night game, starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, in Death Valley.

I didn’t renew my season tickets for the first time. I’ll still go to a few games though.

I think the alternative option of watching it at home is sooo much better than it was even 10 years ago that I think alot of people are feeling the same way. I myself look forward just as much to going to a game as to having all the bros out to my house and having a big blowout watch party in the back yard. Cooking and drinking all day, catching up and cutting up with everybody, watching not just LSU but all of the other good games on that day, and it costs a fraction of what it costs to go to Baton Rouge. Everyone isn't spread out all over campus, there aren't a bunch of people I don't know crowding around me, I'm not competing with someone else's obnoxious sound system, and I'm already at home so no chance of traffic. I still go to tiger stadium every year and love going, but it seems to be harder and harder to go every year. Hotels, tickets, tailgates, meals, getting around town, it adds up quick and kinda takes the fun out of going.

Nah man, you're not alone.
I went from tailgating every week, going to every home game, making a few away trips, going to bowl games... to now I'll tailgate for maybe half the home games and go to at most one per season.

Yeah we do its the same coordinator that couldn't score a single point vs Florida 2 years ago.

Gift your tickets to a younger, hungrier fan who still has the energy and passion you’ve had for the past 3 decades.
Nobody should give you crap because you have been through the dark days of LSU football and golden years alike. If you don’t have the energy, will, or desire to effort through 7-8 LSU home games a year (and it is an effort, just still intensely enjoyable to me) you’ve earned that right. The only thing I ask is that you try to pass on the tradition fans like you set by ensuring whomever uses your tickets isn’t some fair weather fan

Went regularly from 02-12. Live five hours away now, plus wife, plus kids. Just doesn't add up for me anymore. Actually I think I have just as much fun cooking and watching it with some pals on the patio now a days. But I concede, this result could just be me getting old.

I'd be much more inclined if they sold beer in the stadium. I've turned down free LSU tickets before to watch the game on TV instead. I much prefer Saints games in the Dome, can't remember ever turning down Saints tickets. I'm also not tailgating all day prior to Saints games though. The drinking all day and then going into Tiger Stadium and sobering up sucks.

Truth.
I'm only 52 though. Guy who sits next to me is like 75. He never got burned out. Guess I suck.
