Both of them are glass. In my mind Zion gets legit injured more and is just injury prone and will never be reliable. BI doesn’t get injured as much but misses more time than he should vs other players with the same injury.

Two different kind of soft arse players.

Very cool link and site. Thank you.

Mike Conley had to be on each list like 6x over 4-5 years. He might have the worst hamstrings in history. All very short term durations. But still kind of odd.

Couple of outliers. But just reinforces that Zions timeline is not common..

As an FYI, someone else posted that link before and I found all kinds of dudes with similar injuries over the past couple of years that were just not on that list.

You might want to go back and look at how much time Booker has missed throughout his career with hamstring issues.

Luckily for him and the team they've been grade 1’s, but hes had them all throughout his career

but a setback with a hamstring isn't something super surprising that you'd say you don't understand how it could happen. I

if we had done a somehow secret poll, a lot would have expressed doubt of a swift return.

right now we are stuck once again with zion not able to practice a jumper or a jump hook both of which he needs to be top tier.
perimeter defense or flying Duke D are just a dream we had once.

Just wait until he comes back from this injury 20 pounds heavier. I wish I didn’t think this, but, I do.

So can someone remind me again why we didn’t bother to get a backup PF in the off-season or at the trade deadline?

Is it really that surprising that Zion is missing time that our GM couldn’t foresee the need for a decent backup?

It's not going to get better with age and more mileage.

He'll just injure something else. Dude's a ticking time bomb for a blown out knee. Too much weight on those legs.

Zion's career is going to be short unfortunately.

It's a valid point. I looked it up and he isn't wrong. He has had issues and at the worst times. It's been an ongoing thing for years. But he has many, many other injuries. He just doesn't miss that much time for them. He plays through a lot.

Even so, that doesn't make it common and the duration isn't normal. It's OK to be alarmed..

Our 2 franchise players are both injury prone

Ingram has had some bad luck with injuries too, but he’s played in less than 2/3 of his team’s games only once. He’s at least mostly available.

Zion has only achieved that once in 4 seasons, and the other 3 weren’t remotely close.

Yeah I’m done with him. Trade him if he still has value. You can’t be paying him 35m to play 20 games a year.

As great as Zion can be, he’s pretty much useless. It sucks, but he’ll never stay healthy for long stints.

if he had played 4 years at Duke and learned basketball we could at least be hoping for a spectacular return.
i swear, i and a few of my lagrange high neighbors were all more versatile offensive players. guys 15 to 17. zion doesnt have even close to a full arsenal. i would sell the sizzle if he gets back on the court. hes not developing until he has time in summer. nowadays you can get an incredible haul.
i remember what Ja Morant said about their time as teens in aau on some south Carolina team. "i just set him up for dunks".
morant came in with no game as well. fast and athletic. hes only just now got a 3 pt shot. the
difference is morant has been able to work on his game. hes got a ways to go and maybe hes never all time but hes real good and getting better.
zion has had his development be put off by the various injuries so hes never able to practice.

In the offseason they probably hoped for better health and maybe improvement from Trey and even Jaxson. At the trade deadline they realized they were pretty far away from justifying the tax so made moves that help the team avoid it next year.

Every other pro athlete on the planet recovers from a hamstring strain in a normal reasonable amount of time. So either Zion is completely made of glass or the pelicans training staff is working for the fricking Lakers

Time to consider parting ways.

This is Anthony Davis all over again.

Being serious.
