re: Exuma June Recommendations

Boat out to Chat N Chill, good food, great drinks and atmosphere. South there is Tropic of Cancer Beach and Forbes Hill, both nice beaches.

North you can go to pig island, as touristy as they say it is, it was a cool spot to hit. Iguana beach is close to that, and that was cool also.
They tell you to leave them off property or you can check them in at the front gate.

But, no limitation on an iwatch. Just only check/send texts in the bathroom as they are watching always.
News reports that the student at the center of this tore his rotator cuff due to all the high fives he was getting.

We are getting power to the fan, just not turning on. Problem with the warranty is i can't find where i originally bought it from or the receipt. Looks like when i checked you could only return it to the original dealer or direct with proof of purchase (which i don't have).
I added her as an authorized CC user when she was born and she has a card in her name. I did this on recommendation at the time to start building credit.

You are saying to get a totally separate CC for her?

Preferred bank for LSU student?

Posted by Buck Dancer on 4/2/26 at 7:52 am
My daughter is going to LSU in the fall of 2026 and we need to open up a checking account for her.

I use Metairie Bank for most of my banking.

Main use of this new account would be to deposit 529 money into, for us to put spending money in from time to time and for her to use for other daily things.

She has a Chase credit card tied to our family account that she will have access to.

Question is - is there a bank that would be better suited for this than if i were to open up a Metairie Bank account? I'm reading Campus Federal and Hancock Whitney, but does it really matter in these days what bank the debit/checking account is tied to?

I was using the Minka air fans a lot, but, wouldn't say they've taken a beating. Deep under a covered patio.

I am looking for something similar in look to the Minka air's.

When they worked they worked great, just think for the price i should have gotten a little more time out of them.

Outdoor ceiling fan recs

I have two Minka Air outdoor ceiling fans that stopped working after 6 years and looking to replace them.

Anyone have suggestions on other fans ?

The Minka Air ones are good fans and cost more than others. Thought I should have gotten more than 6 years out of both of them for the price though.

Once you get approved you should be able to select an evaluator from the website. There will be a drop down where you can pick an approved evaluator and once you choose online they will contact you.
Going to do some filets for Easter and usually get prime filets from Costco- New Orleans.

Would a place like McCord's butcher in Metairie be head and shoulders better ?

I don't mind spending a little more, but getting prices online for McCord's seems impossible so I'm not sure of price difference and quality difference.

I'm going to call them when they open today or tomorrow, but wondering from peoples personal experience if its noticeably better than Costco prime filets.

Hopefully we trick someone in taking Poole off our hands and not give up a bunch to do it.

High Speed Train Paris to Munich

Posted by Buck Dancer on 1/26/26 at 1:18 pm
Hello, what is the best website to book a high speed train from Paris (Gare Du Nord or Gare Du East) to Munich Central Station (Hbf i believe) ?

Need to book for 7/27/26 and i keep seeing different websites to use.

Anyone done this route/area before and know the best website to book and how far in advance you can book?

Looking for the fastest train with a morning departure.

St John is beautiful.
Posting to add we brought our own frozen meat (steaks and ground meat) to cook at the house as quality beef was hard to come by.

I used a yeti backpack as a carry on and filled it with vacuum sealed meat.

I got mixed reviews from people on here when i asked about doing that. But it was 100% helpful. The markets in Exuma don't have a great selection on meat.
Pair of Wide Vomero 18’s. My fat arse flat feet love them.
What's wrong with Sonos if you already have and love it. I've had Sonos for 10 years plus and still love it.
Good ole Gayle Benson, this is why you don't hire "friends & family".
Yeah that is pulling up some things that will work. Thanks everyone for playing!!
