For a normal basketball player.

Zion never plays. He’s missed far more games than he had played in.

I don't think I've ever felt worse about NOLA basketball than I do right now. Shouldn't have gotten such high hopes after the first third of the season. We will just never have a championship contending team here, it is what it is. It was already an uphill battle for a small market but we just can't help but have the most fragile cornerstone players in the league every year. I'll still watch a lot of the games but most of my emotional investment is gone.

Did Booker ever have surgery?

The thing about hamstring injuries is they are often preventable if you do enough stretching before hand. Someone pointed out in that SLAM magazine video how Zion and BI were making fun of CJ for his extreme stretching routines, it seems like the team needs to impose some stretching routines on Zion.

You don't have surgery on hamstring strains

guess Booker and Durant need to knock some size off huh? Booker has been fighting hamstring injuries for 3 years now.

Both players combined haven't missed more time in 3 years due to a hamstring injury than Zion has this year. Not this season. This calendar year. Try again.

Y’all overreact and immediately go to size when it has nothing to do with his size, it’s a fricking normal injury for basketball players man

I don't believe this. Name some guys that are constantly missing 10-20 games a year due to "hamstring" injuries, please.

You're not at least listening to offers? Sure, it would be great to ride Zion to new franchise heights and be on the side of I told you so, but pragmatically you've gotta be at least keeping an ear for offers. Bogdanavic, Wiseman and Cunningham for big Z!

I don't know how accurate this is because I don't see Zion or Booker on this list, maybe because they haven't returned yet. So far this year 10 players have missed with hamstring injuries not counting Zion and Booker and I guess anyone else that is currently out with the condition. Most of it is relatively short term except for the ones that aren't (Zion and Booker).

Right Hamstring Injuries

Left Hamstring Injuries

don’t understand the re-aggravating issue. Was it healing? I thought a medical staff would shepherd any pt work. Did he overdue anything on his own? This can’t happen. I guess the next bulletin will be about surgery
It's certainly not ideal and always seems to pop up with Zion having setbacks but a setback with a hamstring isn't something super surprising that you'd say you don't understand how it could happen. It's not all that uncommon.

A 3 week injury turned in to 6 weeks and now re-injured
Granted, we won't hit the actual timeline either but this was a 6-8 week injury. It was never a 3 week expectation to return.

That poster still swears that BI is more injury prone despite missing less games and having around the same amount of different injuries. Some folks make up their minds and legit nothing will ever change it. Not much you can do there.

I saw that too and had the same thought…those two should NEVER make fun of anyone for doing injury prevention…just made me cringe when I heard it.

CJ wasn’t a jerk about it, but having Zion make fun of my stretching while he kisses half the season goodby on a muscle strain would certainly lead me into dangerous territory.
