I think whatever you have right now will be where you’re at in regards to ownership of cars/homes/land. As far as basic needs go, it will be the same for everyone.

That's kind of what I was thinking.

quote:

The work will change. But it also did through the agricultural revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the technology revolution. People adapt and change. Not eliminate.

That's the argument that this time is NOT different, but the counter is that this is different.

Unlike those examples, instead of moving jobs into other areas, it just takes them completely. AI bros argue there is nothing a human could do an AI can't do better.

Dude, have you seen The Matrix?

No, I actually never have.
I hope this is all fear porn, but if AI eventually disrupts most jobs (including physical labor), and we end up living off of gov't UBI, won't it create a caste system of those with assets before and those without?

How would one move up in the world if you have no ability to make more money through hard work?

I know this is the more dystopian viewpoint, but it's kind of unsettling to think you may just be stuck where you are.

I'm not even sure how you prepare for would may be coming.

Utah is gonna be good.

Dallas is gonne be pretty good too.

Portland is on the up.

Utah starting 5 looks really good to me on paper.

George is turning into a star.
Lauri
Bailey
JJJ
Kessler

That's a lineup with shooting, scoring, insane length and shot blocking too.

Dallas has a young star in Flagg, Kyrie, some decent bigs and another top pick along with some pretty good role players.

Portland is kind of stuck in no man's land like us but improving.
I think what ya'll are missing is that this team when healthy is still not a contender.

Yes, it's for sure a play-in team, but it's still got major weaknesses.

I think our timeline has to be built around Fears/Queen.

That means continuing to kind of suck and getting good picks, not fighting for no. 7-10 in the west.

The West isn't getting any easier either.

OKC
Spurs
LAL
Den
Min

Aren't going away.

Even though Durant will fall off a cliff, Houston will still be good.

Clippers may be able to eek out one more year before Kawhi misses two years per Uncle Dennis.

Utah is gonna be good.

Dallas is gonne be pretty good too.

Portland is on the up.

Sac sucks but will get better with their rookie.

I'm not overly optimistic for Warriors, Suns or Grizz but none are terrible.

I just don't think even 100 percent healthy this team is good enough not to try to get top picks.

We don't have a superstar.

I don’t think you can run it back.

I think you need to move Zion and Poole and maybe even Murray if you get a good deal now that he’s shown he can actually still play.

I’ll admit to being dead wrong about him. Achilles rehab has come a longgg way.

Fears is th future at PG and Queen is your PF. Zion isn’t going to fetch a ton but having his healthiest season ever is probably the best time to trade him.

Poole is an expiring and sucks so just take back a different rehab project.

Murray/Fears
Bey/Herb
Trey
Queen/Karlo
FA or trade target/Missi

Add some shooters with the picks and or players you get from Zion and that’s decent. Just need to hope that the rookies eventually become franchise players.
Classic BI. Great first half and mostly invisible after
I know nothing about Bain but wasn't short arms the reason Trey Hendrickson fell to us in like the 4th or 5th?

Pass rusher seems to be more about bend than arm length. Like that dude we got from Notre Dame in the second is so stiff it doesn't matter how long his fricking arms are.
I hope the Kurds can carve out some land for themselves. They've earned it imo.

Piss on Erdogan if he doesn't like it.
I think Dyson might have a Rudy Gobert type arc.

Elite regular season defense but gets played off the court in the post season. For Gobert it was about movement but for Dyson it will be teams not guarding him.
Tie some cement blocks to his legs and throw him in Loch Ness

re: Property tax

Property tax and all taxes minus income tax should be abolished for a consumption tax.

Buy a lot of shite, pay a lot of taxes. Save and dont spend and don’t pay.

Buy a $40 million yacht, pay a lot of taxes.

Income tax should just be enough to cover necessary services. Hell maybe there’s a way to get rid of income tax too
Our government has proven to be completely incompetent no matter what party is in charge. Seriously governed by corrupt morons.

I have zero faith they are even preparing for this.

They are so so self absorbed in grifting and getting rich and pwning each other they could give a frick about us.

I worry that let’s just say by some miracle I keep my job but many don’t, that’s going to turn good neighborhoods and schools bad eventually.

Nice areas could start looking like the rust belt.

I really hope I’m overreacting.
This was an issue with him last year too. He cannot average 5+ turnovers a game.

Some were just sloppy ball handling and passes.

Overall pleased with how he looks but clean it up to his career average around 3 to be effective.

It is nice to have some size at PG for a change.

The Play In Push begins

I looked it up yesterday. We'd need to go like 17-6 (yeah right) and the Blazers or Clippers would need to go 6-17.

Play in is a pipe dream.
How much do you think you need in retirement to live on?
The playin is not even close to possible at this point but might as well finish strong and build winning habits.
I'm mid 40s and it has me nervous. I just don't know what the end game is. UBI sounds awful and will be terrible for society.

I'm in pretty decent shape financially but I don't have enough to bridge the gap until I can start drawing retirement funds and health care costs are a concern.

It will never happen, but someone needs to pull the plug on this shite and I say that as an avid user.
