They actually both said much the same thing--they like a lot of the players on the team but don't think they "fit together."
I would love to hear the counter to this.
They DON'T fit together.
There's almost no shooting outside Trey and Poole.
No big who can shoot at PF or C. No PG who can consistently shoot. Jose is our best 3 point shooting PG.
We have some world class doofuses in Poole and Zion.
It's a very weird roster. The trade for Poole makes no sense imo.
Yes, he was better last year. Didn't make a damn bit of difference on the Wizards. I think he's best cast as he was in GS. A scorer on a veteran team.
With this cast of clowns, he will be wild.
I don't dislike all the players. I like Queen, Fears, Trey, Herb, Jose in a vaccum but they are bad fits."
Nailed it and now we took a dude with low value and turned him into NO value.
It's like the opposite of the OKC model. Take on a distressed asset and rehab him and get more than you paid.
We took a known clown and exposed him even more and now we're stuck with him next season too.
Dumars and Nico need a deathmatch for worst GM ever.

re: Zion for KAT. Does both teams get better if health is guaranteed hypothetically?
Posted by ghost2most on 1/15/26 at 12:29 pm to Large Professor
I don't see how this helps NY at all.
KAT is a fricking clown but a clown that can shoot.
Zion is hurt more, scores less, can't shoot.

Which is the better job?
NCST has more historical success and is a more basketball rich state, but it also completes with two blue bloods.
I've never been to Raleigh but I'm sure it's nicer than BR.
Would be hard to pull him imo.

I finally accept Zion just isn't that good

For his entire career, I thought the only thing holding him back was injury, weight and maturity.
Now it's become clear, he's just not good enough in the modern NBA that relies on 3 pointers and FT attempts, which he is bad at both.
He doesn't shoot 3s and he's officiated poorly and is a mediocre FT shooter when he does get there.
I didn't watch last night's game but the dude had 12 points against a Jokic-less Nuggets team.
Unacceptable.
He can't take over games because he won't get calls late and refuses to shoot enough from outside the paint even though he's very good at that little pull up.
He's only going to get worse from here as his athleticism declines.
He was a unique prospect that came to the game a generation late. If you can't shoot 3s, you better get to the line a ton like Ja or SGA. He doesn't and his lack of height and spacing is impossible to build around considering his D is hit or miss.
I finally accept that it will never happen. Not here or anywhere. At best, he goes to a contender as a bulldozer 6th man off the bench to get the other team's bigs in foul trouble.
I do not think he'll be an All Star on the Warriors or Bulls, etc. but he will get calls he didn't here.
Oh well.

As I suspected from the beginning - two stupid, low impulse control individuals collide - actually, 3.
This is like a Palestinian throwing a rock at an Israeli soldier with his gun drawn and then being shocked at what happens next.
If you believe ICE is as bad and as dangerous as you act, how on earth can you put yourself in that situation?
On the flip side, IMO, it does show how little training and discretion this ICE agent has.
Not a good shot imo, but was only brought on by the woman's idiocy.

Where are we in the whole deportation thing?
I know when it started, we were going after criminals first, which I strongly support, whether violent or fraudulent.
Have we finished that wave yet? I don't follow the shite that close because honestly it doesn't impact me so I'm not all worked up one way or another.

I don't know the specifics, but if she was told to stop and she continued towards the officer, and he felt his life was in danger, yes.
She was with a literal mob breaking windows and climbing through them inside the Capitol after being told to stop and one dude is between the mob and Congress.
Somehow, she's some martyr for being a fricking idiot.

Umm, considering I think the Babbit shooting was justified you are barking up the wrong tree
I think it was justified also. If anything, more justified than the Minnesota one since that officer was alone and clearly had more reason to fear for his safety plus protecting government officials.
But I'm fine with both getting off. Stupid people need to learn to comply.

That's fine and I won't argue. So you're also ok with Babbit getting shot because she continued toward government officials after being told to stop breaking through the widow and advancing?

Be honest, regardless of how you lean politically -
If this was a white MAGA woman on Jan. 6th driving around a Capitol police officer and this happened - you still think it's justifiable?
I'll get downvoted into oblivion but I think it was overkill (literally), but fully believe when you frick around and disobey law enforcement you're rolling the dice whether you're the Minny moron or that idiot Babbit.

Anyone know who ICE was targeting in the raid? Somalis? Mexicans?

Several things are happening here:
Morons continue to disobey law enforcement - FAFO. Simply comply and none of this happens.
LEO continues to show poor training and de-escalation skills and overreaction.
You already have a huge backlash and this just lit a powderkeg.
Does anyone really believe the woman was trying to run him over? I think the answer is clearly, no. Was she trying to evade? Clearly, yes. Could that have led to him getting run over? Yes. In this particular situation? Unlikely.
If the roles were reversed and a Jan. 6 protestor did the same, this board would be losing it's fricking mind.
Legally, I think the officer probably didn't break the law. It just wasn't necessary.
But AGAIN, if the dumbass had listend to begin with, none of this happens.

Just like many of these situations, looks like two dumbasses collided.
An idiot who couldn't follow simple commands and a trigger happy cop. I'll side with the cop 9 out of 10 times.
This didn't require a headshot imo but I'm not there and not about to be hit by a car so I'll give the ICE agent most of the benefit of the doubt, but that definitely didn't look necessary to me.
But like always, just listen and none of this happens.

Let me ask you this scenario. Let's say you're at work and your company's competitor calls you up and offers to triple your salary and pay you a welcome bonus to come to them. Would you be cool with someone coming in and telling you that you can't take that offer? Like it or not, these are legal adults in the United States of America. They can go to new places if they want to.
Not if I'm signed under a contract. You can't even do that shite in pro sports.
It's fricking dumb.
And the fact that we took the amateur label off this is the worst. I just hate it all.
Guess I'm old.

It's fricking ridiculous and those of you defending it must like watching Real Housewives level stupidity shite.
It's bad enough you have coaches quitting on playoff teams and players leaving before the playoffs, it's just a total shitshow and you selectively like it when it benefits YOUR team.
I don't hate Kiffin and I'm glad he's LSU's coach but the process is absolute dogshit and it's scummy.
There seems to be zero rules anymore? Play 8 years, change teams whenever, sign a contract, rip it up.
It was stupid enough when Max Johnson beats Aggie the last game then suits up for them the very next one. This is insanity.
frick all this. College football has jumped the shark.
