Why trade an unprotected 1st this year for Queen just block his development by holding on to Zion? It literally makes no sense
This is a million times worse than literally doing nothing. I will bet any amount of money that no matter what trades Joe makes this team will not even make the Play in next year
We need to trade anyone with an ounce of value. This is a 4-5 year rebuild. This team cannot shoot, rebound, or defend. You have to burn the roster to the ground and build it back up.

Will Dumars do that? Absolutely not. Mark my words he’s going to trade more 1sts this offseason to try and improve this roster

Derik Queen has been a disaster for the last 3/4 of the season

He’s so fricking bad. I would trade him this offseason for whatever value he has. He’s not a winning basketball player

Is Queen really a "building block" or a supporting player?

Queen is not a building block. He’s too short and unathletic to build a team around. Too short to play the 5 and too slow to play the 4.

It’s the same problem we fell into with Zion. You need so many unique pieces to build a good team around Queen and Zion. You absolutely need a Rim protecting 5 that can also shoot 3s, which is rare and what literally every other team wants. Then you need shooting and defense at 1-3 because Queen and Zion can neither shoot nor defend

I’ve taken this approach once Dumars was hired and Green brought back. Got even worse for me once he made the retarded trades with the Pacers and Hawks. Only reason I slightly look in is to see how Fears is doing since he’s who I wanted us to draft.

Same. The Dumars hire killed any hope I had left. I’m just here to watch him burn this franchise to the ground.

Once they inevitably move the franchise, I’ll become a Spurs fan.

damn those are kind of important when playing the game. That’s what I’m saying if we don’t have some major movement I don’t think prime Phil Jackson could do anything with this roster At least we have the draft….. oh damn

Exactly. Hiring Darvin Ham would be very disappointing but honestly it doesn’t matter who the coach is. This roster is dogshit and whoever we hire will be fired in 3 years anyway.

Which is why I’m afraid that Dumars is going to trade more pics to try and improve this roster. That should scare you more than Darvin Ham
The only thing you can hope for is that Dumars doesn’t trade anymore picks. We’re a bottom 5 NBA team as long as he’s in charge so we’ll need every one of those picks
Play in will be even harder to make next year. Dallas and Utah aren’t tanking next year. Neither own their pick and Utah just made a huge move for JJJ this deadline.

Only west teams were better than are the Kings and Grizz.

You’re looking at 25-28 wins max next year if healthy.

This team cannot shoot, rebound, or defend.

I think you still need veteran presence - that's why I'm keen on keeping Bey, Murphy, and Jones. Murphy - 25 entering his prime Jones - 27 in his prime Bey - 27 in his prime

Sign guys like Deandre Jordan for the minimum if you want vet presence. Anyone with an ounce of trade value outside of rookie contract guys should be traded.
Im not in love with Borrego but I just know whoever Dumars hires will be worse than him.

Dumars has killed all feelings I had for this team
I hope he tells her that God wants her to sell the franchise to Todd Graves
I wouldn’t hate it depending on who’s still on the board.
None of those WRs are worth the 8th pick. I’d rather take Love even with the Etienne signing over those guys. At least he’s worth the 8th pick.

It should be Styles, Downs, or Delane. I’d even be fine with an OT like the Miami guy if those other guys are gone.

Grab Chris Bell, Brazzell, or Branch in the 2nd and 3rd rounds if you want a WR
We hire Darvin Ham and run back essentially the same roster. Dumars is going to try and trade Murray, Poole, and Zion just to realize nobody wants them and he’s stuck with them. We win ~25 games next year, rinse and repeat

Karlo is a winning player. He needs to play 20mpg every single game
We need to cut bait after this year. I don’t believe in Queen and Fears as franchise cornerstones but at least give them a chance to prove it. Playing them limited minutes off the bench so Zion and Dejounte Murray can lead us to 20 wins next year sure as shite isn’t good for our future

At least we didn’t trade him for Scoot Henderson like a bunch of you wanted to do back in that’s draft.

Honestly we’d be in the same place. Zion is nothing but empty calorie stats. Nothing he does contributes to winning. We’ve won 19 games with him pretty healthy this year. We’d have what? 14 wins with scoot?

I’m running to the podium if he’s at 8.

I would trade Queen this offseason while he still had the shine of a young player.

I do not see it with him. He is awful and will always be terrible with his size and athleticism. The need to accept the sunk cost and move him for whatever value he has left

Get Queen off the fricking floor. He’s fricking pathetic
