re: Charlie Weis Jr. as a Head Coach

The buyout is only if he leaves for another OC job, there’s no buyouts for coordinators moving up to Head Coaches

Yup, there’s no reason not to have 4-5 guys on this team that shoot 40+% on 6-8 3’s a game. It’s what’s been needed for 7 years, and at most they’ve had 2 at one time with Trey and CJ

Queen
Fears
Trey
Zion

Ship everyone else out and get the right big man, along with shooters, lots and lots of shooters. With those 4 as a core you can win if you surround them with the right type of role players

Joe picked up next years option only because he didn’t have a chance to see him in person and evaluate him, same reason he kept Willie

only saw that Trey was downgraded to questionable. Where do you see that he is out?

Looks like all the fantasy sites are reporting it, could be just one reporting and the rest running with it though

Hope the major renovation is new ownership

Not until Gayle passes away

After meeting with Goodell, Benson and Landry will then visit Silver at NBA offices on Tuesday to document plans for a major renovation of the Smoothie King Center, the lynchpin for a long-term lease extension between the team and state. The project, which is still in the conceptual stage, would involve the transformation of Champions Square into a refurbished and reimagined entertainment district.

From an article about them meeting with Goodel for a super bowl bid, they are also laying out the plans for the SKC renovation. Should hear more about those plans after the meeting I assume
Please send them packing.

Make sure you send every single playbook with them, no stealing plays, install your own offense.

Dumars said in one of his preseason press conferences they would be bad on defense and have to outscore opponents in a shootout every night to win.

You would think they would’ve added some shooters if that was their mindset though

It doesn’t matter if you had an undefeated perfect season, in this era of college football, you’d still have transfers. Money means more to 18-22 year old kids than anything else.

And OM will be throwing it around to keep these guys from transferring…

absolutely can see Lacy leaving for more money and to follow his coaches.

OM will throw whatever he wants at him to stay
I don’t see Lacy or Chambliss, or anyone from OM leaving after that.
Deep down he knew he would never put in the effort required to make the playoffs, so he was just trying to get the work part out of the way as quick as possible so he could go golf

Where's the word on Lacy not coming now? You have a link?

Not sure if I seen it here or on Twitter mostly but rumors are OM threw 1.8 million at Lacy for him to stay.

Could just be unsubstantiated rumors though

Tiger? Word is OM threw a bag at Lacy to get him back.

He already knows where he is going for sure

Glad to hear it, but the fact that this was even a concern is dumb. The NCAA needs to change the transfer portal rules. At least make it to where a dude at least has to spend his first 2 seasons at one school.

I would rather it be you get one transfer, that’s it.

If your head coach leaves or gets fired you can apply for additional ones, but you get one free. That would make the kids think more about it

Zion back in starting lineup

Borrego made a comment about defensive rebounding being a big issue, hopefully they worked on that.
Yeah, Lebron is starting to look forward to retirement
