If you do the trade you get picks and 14.8 million in freed up money, along with a TPE.

You could sign Kuminga and a center, while getting picks. That would be a win for us.
Cavs only have 1 tradeable 1st in 2031 or 2032

And sorry, but thats wayyyyyy to much for Trey

How?

Like 5 or 6 teams sent him offers.

How?

Because he’s not very good. He’s living off his name and the fact Philly was stupid years ago and gave him a max contract.

This is the equivalent of us signing Deandre Jordan…
It’s the city, not the team. Put this same team in Los Angeles and free agents would flock here

Rumors are that Denver is going to cut him since his contract only has 2 million in guarantees. He’s likely going to Lakers once cut to backup Kessler.

And we need to figure out how to get more 2nds, we only have 4 of them available, none until 2030. We shouldn’t be trading any of them.

don't know why but I was under the impression Zion's salary was closer to 30 mil and not 40.

It was when his deal was first signed, but the standard 8% raises have pushed it that high
Per the CBA players cannot be paid more than 51% of league revenue. Total salaries in the NBA last season were $317 million above that 51%, so the players have to give that money back.

A portion of player salaries goes into an escrow account for this very purpose.

So basically every player in the NBA loses 5.5% of their salary, even the minimum salary guys. As an example last year Zion’s salary was expected to be $39,446,090, but that’s now $37,276,555.

Ouch, imagine as a player you were thinking you had a 60 million check coming but it’s 57
Still don’t see how we didn’t get Kolek or Diadet out of that deal

When has this Scoop B guy ever been right about anything? Just another clickbait guy on X

He actually started getting alot of Pels news and leaks when he started working for Bally a few years ago.

With that said, the talk now is Stevens did that Brown trade in an attempt to get more picks to throw at us for Trey.

Has this board really given up?

Yes
He wouldn’t have a choice, he’s under contract for 3 more years.

Jaylen Brown probably had some input on the trade as well.

Then he wouldn’t have chosen Phiily. He hates Embiid and has spent all summer calling him a flopper

and we lose our ability to get better though the draft

How? If you’re only giving Trey and Poole you keep al your picks.
