CJ coming off the bench helps the bench tremendously
How does that work with minutes tho? This is the only split that would even remotely make sense.
DM-30/ Jose-18
Herb- 18/ CJ-30
BI-30/ Herb-12/ Trey-6
Zion-24/ Trey-24
Zion-6/
There are no minutes for Hawk here. You are also "starting" Herb > CJ (who will end up playing more minutes) and Herb's min at SG should come at the end of the game...
Can someone break that down for once? Or do y'all want to keep saying the same shite without it making any sense.
Murray/ Jose
CJ/ Hawk
Are the only (4) players that need to play all of their minutes at their "position". And yet y'all want to put up any and every lineup to frick that up.
We can now guarantee 1 of Murray/ Jose to start with CJ/ Hawk at all times. Let's not think of 1,000 ways to screw it up.

Trying to figure out what's the lineup and minutes with the current roster is a lost cause. I don't think the team even knows what the hell they are going to do if they don't trade BI.
When I say CJ shoudl come off the bench, i'm assuming BI isn't on the team anymore, and if BI is on the team, then he definitely should be coming off the bench.
If the team stays as is, then Zion and BI are playing closer to 16 minutes at the 5, not 6. And even if they did play16 minutes there, that means 32 minutes need to be filled by a guy who's never played in the NBA before, and another guy who was benched by the last two teams he played for.
You're doing great thus far Griff.

I believe CJ is being shopped but there are zero takers given the new CBA. CC mentioned in his podcast that the Pels attempted to include CJ in the ATL deal.
Is this all he said?
Did he expand further?

I would put money on Golden State chasing him at this point.
Missing out on Lauri means that they don’t have many players they can bring in that would raise their ceiling.
It also means that they may have to come off some of their limits with regards to players they want to keep like Kaminga.

We are going to have one interesting team to start the year

I have concerns about Ingram's health holding up if he's asked to play down low too much, but I think the no center lineups are going to surprise people with how effective they are.

For someone who couldn't even admit when CJ had bad games I sure am surprised you think he should go to the bench.
You've said this same thing before. You were wrong and lying and making shite up then too. I tried to correct you, but you prefer to continue being wrong and lying and making shite up.
It is what it is.

quote:The fact that you think Herb's chances of winning DPOY increase by moving him to the bench to guard subs tells me all I need to know about your understanding of this topic and discussion. It's lacking...immensely
Name me the last DPOY that was a 6th starter/ 6th man???
Its a very unusual situation we are in. Its not often you can even argue "benching" a possible DPOY.
Obviously things would be easier if we didn't have BI but we do have (4) starters ranked above Herb not including a Center.
If we start with Zion at 5 then Herb starts. If we trade BI then Herb starts. Herb does not start OVER Murray/ BI/ CJ/ Zion.

Should be some interesting training camp battles. As currently configured DJ, Zion, BI, and Herb are penciled in as starters and no one is guaranteed to finish.

So Ingram is going to the bench?
They already said in the DJM press conference that DJM and Herb will be starting together, so it’s either Ingram or Zion coming off the bench, and it’s definitely not gonna be Zion.
In that scenario they would go Murray, CJ, Herb, BI, and Zion. Probably sub a big off the bench pretty quickly. None of those guys are coming off the bench.

Smart of them to make sure he isn't tradeable at the deadline. He got a bag. Good for him.

Agreed. If a team really likes a player and believes in him, they will pay him. I’m glad Pels aren’t doing this with BI.

I told yall MFers months ago that the Jazz ownership thinks he's their franchise guy. Yet, we have bozo daily threads of the Pels trading. It was never a possibility

Well Utah was the only team that could give him 48mil and not pay 5 1st to do so.
