Any Pels players show at the presser?
You're right that was Gentry with the baton when Zion ghosted. Point still remains, everything was built around Zion, not the ancillary pieces. Zion was the centerpiece of the franchise and had all the opportunity in the world to take off, but here we are with 0 playoff appearances for him in his tenure. The issue now with banking on Zion, in addition to the uncertain availability, is that he has not really developed his game, and even at his best, I'm not sure he is a top 10 talent any longer.
While in reality, full season of Van Grundy ended up with no playoffs and a Zion ghost in the bubble.

Shamit clearly explains how much of a poverty franchise we are

From what I've read from his reporting, he's been the primary local Zion apologist. Everybody's fault, except for Zion.

So why did he fail so bad in Detroit after 2004? What's changed?

Funbunch summarized his tenure with the Pistons. Championships, conference finals, and bust. I'll take that. It's not like he's been sitting on his thumbs since, super successful basketball career.

What about Joe Dumars gives you the feeling that he is someone that can help build a team?

Dumars is a hall of fame player, and has won championships as a player and executive. Most importantly to me is he came up in the gym. I believe Griff had all the right intentions but constantly got sidetracked because he could not or would not read the locker room (team).
For sure, letting Griff go and franchise reset is the best news since the Phx playoffs, for me. So much shite occurred behind the scenes that we, the average fan, will never know until these jokers retire and get on a pod. But the vibe has been off since then. I'm glad NOLA has an NBA franchise, now if Pels can get their focus back on building a winning team, it'll be all for the good.
For sure, the vote from the Nativist crowd is all catcalls and howls. But getting off Griff and Zion is the Pels best option. Franchise can't move forward with Zion's health and position being the center of conversation. Get 2 picks and a good power forward ~ Jalen Johnson, O.G. Ananoby to pair with your top 4 pick and have assets in the future. A good tank in 2025 and your back on good footing in 2026.

Don’t know about keeping Coach Green, but getting picks and talent for Zion is by far its best option.
Griff had to go, just too much bad JUju. Pels should look for a POBO who is a basketball man, someone who came up and is familiar with locker rooms. Griff came in with a grand plan to revitalize player health and ironically that was his undoing.
Jose has solidified himself in the rotation on a great contract, can be a spot starter. Issue, as always, lies between 0 and 2.

that Suns playoff series did so much damage to the team going forward

For sure, almost like they were trying to win.

Zion doesn't fit with Dyson, though, so he had to be shipped That's not entirely accurate.

How many good players haven't fit with Zion?
Looking at the standings and saw the dreaded -e next to Pels. Interested to see if Pels shut down Zion and CJ.

We are absolutely cooked

Pels have taken a year off playing defense.
Karlo is twitchy with a good motor, he looks like has that Peja thing too, like he can get hot and hit 4-5 buckets in a row. All these guys need a serious summer in the weight room.

This should be giving everyone a dose of reality for next year

You just don't learn a lot when you're trying to lose. You find out if your young players are worth further development, but that's about it. You expect your core, when they hit the court, to be competitive. There have been games where individuals have popped, like. CJ 50 burger, and Zion when he feels like Zion. We've seen this before, but there aren't games where the team has been dominant, giving you optimism for the next season. Pels have been a lottery team since November, nothing was going to change that. Actively chasing better lotto odds with no foundation is a fools errand.
