Does this do anything for the Jazz for future trades ie salary etc

I really used to think Kris Dunn was going to be really good when he was coming out of the draft. Guess you never know lol

Not really, this still leaves them with 24 million in available cap space to use. Westbrook’s contract was only for 4 million

I'm rather chocked dlo doesn't have more value. A 18/3/6 pg who shoots 40+% from 3 over the past 2 years. While only making 18mil?
Have you ever watched him play? He has games where he looks like an all star and other games where he’s just flat out awful. He’s not consistent enough to be your starting guard, probably best served as a sixth man.

That's an elite 6th man/guard. For cost, he's still a plus player.
We said that with lonzo when he was here. we won or lost games based on his 3pt shooting. good games, we won. bad games, we lost.

Some fairly interesting nuggets for comparison
Daniel Theis INTL Stats
Karlo Matkovic INTL Stats
I’m just looking to gauge expectations without having the summer league performance affect my thinking. If the euro league stats for the two are any indication, Karlo could indeed be an upgrade over Theis.

If tweet fails to load, click here. The player the Grizzlies traded up to take while the Pels slid back and got Trey Murphy III

He oddly was a good Ingram stopper as a young player and then started getting injured repeatedly. He also likes men.

You would know from experience.

Just listen to 1-2 interviews of Ziaire and it’s pretty easy to spot
I like Joe Burrow, so I guess you are technically right

Listening to the Hoop Collective from yesterday and Bontemps said he expects the starting lineup on opening night to be: DJ, Trey, Herb, BI, and Zion, thinks CJ is coming off the bench because we have to start Trey and Herb. Mcmahon says that we have to trade BI for a starting caliber center before the season.
ETA: Windy agrees with McMahon because it doesn’t make sense to go into the season with no center because the league is trending big and rebounding is important.

I would like to mention another option not talked about enough…..Day’Ron Sharpe with the Brooklyn Nets. Here is a well done breakdown of his third year in the league:
Sharpe breakdown
22 years old, making $4 million this year and restricted afterwards. The Nets just locked in Nic Claxton at nearly $30 million per to be their center and are in full rebuild.
Per 36, Day’Ron was:
16.2 points, 15.2 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 3.3 assists, 57.1% FG
He’s not the tallest at more like 6’9, but he’s an athletic above average rebounder and rim protector. I think he’s perfect to do all the little dirty work things we need, and even gives you strong interior passing.
I might even like him more than Kessler for us.

Is Reeves not a viable replacement for Hawkins?
I asked this question on 7/6, and response was essentially “no way”. After summer league I’ll ask again. I have watched very little of SL minus highlights and skimmed through threads on here, so it’s an honest question.
I asked then and ask again in the context of including Hawkins as a trade piece.

I think Reaves is a better all around basketball player and I would be doing everything I could to use Hawkins salary slot for a young center if I could. Call me crazy.

Some of yall have way ti much recency bias and put way to much stock in summer league play.

We just need to be patient and wait until preseason to reevaluate this. That gives Hawkins more time to work on his handle or some other new skill, and the team will get a chance to see Reeves against real NBA players in practice and preseason. Then you can see if Reeves makes Hawkins expendable.
One thing to consider though is if the plan is still to trade BI at the deadline, which I have to assume it is unless they just win all the games, then does trading Hawkins now when the Pels are desperate for a center sell low on him?
I still think Hawkins is destined to be traded unless he actually adds some new skills this summer, but you want to trade him when the other team is desperate, not when you are. Just like how Dyson helped you trade for Dejounte.
Trading for Duren or Kessler with extra picks because the Pels are desperate would be a wasteful move if some form of BI for Allen is coming 4 months later. In fact, I could see regretting the Hawkins/Center trade and wishing you had more shooting on your bench after instead of an extra big.

I think Sharpe would be a great option for us if we aren’t able to make an Ingram trade. I’m not sure what it would take to get him, but I imagine it would be much less than Kessler and he should fit into the Kira TPE.
His advanced numbers are actually pretty good. Dunksandthrees has him in the 99th% in offensive rebounding and 95th% in defensive rebounding. They also have him in the 91st% in block percentage.
