Really? Cam Little makes the two longest field goals in NFL history and he doesn't even make second team all-pro? Every single voter should have their vote taken away from them and I am a guy who doesn't give one shite about the Jaguars.

Normally I'd agree, but Reichard and Aubrey only missed from 50+ and they both hit some 60+ yarders too

The way I see it, if you're already "1st team" RB, if you were also voted as another position and made it as "2nd team" all purpose; just give up the all purpose and someone else can make it.

Its so dumb otherwise because its the same recognition.
Zion as he currently is (and has been for his entire career) is not conductive to being the #1 guy.

1. His handles are too loose, leading to turnovers with good defenders.
2. His ability to finish at the rim is elite, but when refs swallow the whistle hard nosed defenders get the better of him.
3. He clogs the paint, leading to spacing issues and need for better 3pt shooters across the board
4. He's an undersized 4 leading to bad rebounding numbers and rebounding as a team
5. He's a mediocre defender, better help defender if anything but he's a net negative overall

I still don't understand how to construct a team with him and trey as the focal points because I think their issues overlap so much you need an elite big (who can defend and shoot) or elite guard (who can defend, shoot, and facilitate) to compensate --- neither of which we have.

1. Give Brandon Staley a raise

More success next year from the team & defense overall, he's going to get another shot at a HC gig. He's ONLY 43.

quote:

2. Sign Chris Olave and Alontae Taylor to extensions

This is something I think we should do closer to April when we know for sure Chris Olave's PE is a blip. I still think the reality is, we need to pay him fair value (Wilson money), good signing bonus to protect him, and an out for us in the event health issues appear.

Alontae Taylor's contract is going to be interesting. Should he be paid CB money? S money? He's better than Paulson Adebo (18mil) at their respective positions, but he's not a boundary corner. he's a nickel who also plays a little safety? I think 18mil is his limit, in reality I think we pay him Hufanga money (3/39mil)

3. Hire Jon Gannon

He's going to be a DC somewhere

quote:

4. Bring back Demario Davis and Cam Jordan

Agreed. I think DD on a 2 year deal, Cam on a year by year basis.

quote:

5. Give Taysom Hill a retirement send-off

He's been sent off.

quote:

6. Sign Teven Jenkins in free agency

PLEASE DEAR GOD YES. PAY THE MAN

quote:

7. Sign a veteran backup QB

This staff is littered with former QBs. but if we're thinking oh a backup QB in the event shough gets hurt and we have a shot, there are 2 I want.

1. Kenny Pickett (2024 Eagles)
- He was in the system, so he should know it better than anyone else that is a free agent. Limited upside, but I think he's a good locker room presence

2. Teddy Bridgewater
- He's still only 33 and a saavy veteran who can step right in and be a stable presence. Doesn't expect to start and he's a good veteran leader

quote:

8. Draft Jeremiyah Love at No. 8

frick. No. Paying 7-8mil AND a top 10 pick on a RB is a luxury. A luxury we don't have. I rather pay Breece Hall a premium 10-12mil and draft another OT or Edge to help this team overall. that is a better use of resources.

quote:

9. Draft Chris Bell and Tim Keenan III

I would 100% draft Chris Bell with the 3rd round pick.

Tim Keenan looks solid, but I think we'll address that later considering we have a few NT options already.

quote:

10. Draft a punter — any punter

This is a year where using a late round pick on K or P I would 100% go for.
The irony, lsu and Bama fans unite in shite talking Ole miss' head coach

I'd power run this shite in
Yup too simultaneous for it to be a toe tap. But damn what an effort.
Beck is gonna frick somehow.

That was a bad screen
That's why he's built like a lineman
I just want beck to lead a td drive. Miss the pat. Chambliss leads them to tie the fg.

And let it just go all night
Oh it's pi.

But if you're gonna let them play and get hands on both side all night, you can't make that call at this critical point.
They let them play all game and you gonna call that? No way man.
9 penalties to 3.

Miami loses it's because they can't hold onto the ball

4 top 10 rushing rb are not on their original team.
7 of the 17 1k yard rushers are not on their original team.

Love may be a good prospect, but is he that good of a prospect?
In December
13 tackles
3.5 sacks

Adding the last game of the year
19 tackles
5 sacks
Gotta hit on 4 draft picks this year.

That and a few solid free agent acquisitions, the only thing that would need to occur is shough progressing and not having a sophomore slump like lots of qbs
Atlanta would be the best spot for him, please go to Arizona though
I'm fine with paying him for the leadership, locker room, and bring a rotational DE.

What we still need is someone to make granderson replaceable or back to a backup role. We need a speed rusher who can bend and disrupt.

Tet would have finished 5th in receiving yards among rookies last season.

His rookie campaign is no better than the 27th best rookie receiving campaign ever (the list i could find had 25 and I know he has less yards than Olave did)

Its basically what you expect from a guy that goes 8th overall

I mean this year's offensive rookie crop is rather meh. nobody stood out.

TM took 17 games to barely break 1k yards
Egbuka played 17 games didn't hit 1k

Jeanty, Henderson, Judkins didn't hit 1k.
Harvey was a solid dual threat RB

Ward put up okay stats
Dart has less passing yards with more starts than Shough
Shough played half a seaso

In all honesty, this should have been an OL award this year with the way Campbell and Banks held their own
The PE for olave scares me a little bit. depends if we're calling it provoked or unprovoked, it can change his entire career and risk involved.
