Hey Pelicans fans:

We are throwing Derrick Queen out there in a position he can’t play, and wonder why he is underperforming. It’s absolute insanity. Trade Zion and put a real center with Queen at the PF position. Let’s pretend like we are a real basketball team. Maybe even start a real PG at some point this decade.

So is the goal to trade Missi, for a pick that if we get really really lucky, is as good as Missi? Is that the plan?

If Fears and Queen are going to be so terrible, it’s not even fun to consider lineups. Based simply on our current roster, we would be best with:

Murray
Herb
Murphy
Zion
Missi


But Murray never wants to play here again, Herb has been hurt for a year and a half, and I guess we have to play Queen and Zion even when they don’t seem to want to play for certain games.

Looney is an expiring contract and vet big. That’s is excessive

Herb hurt his shoulder in the fourth game last season. Come on now. The team completely falls apart every time he doesn’t play. We need more Herb Jones’, not less. I can’t stand the way this team, organization, fan base ignores defense and then wonders why we constantly lose.

We gave up 43 points in the first quarter. Our shooting is not our only nor biggest problem. Your defense is as good as your worst defender. And we have some major liabilities.

Starting or not, I am hoping he can get to the point of finishing. Easy to forget how clutch he was for the Hawks coming in at the end of games. We have a real PG problem, in that Fears while talented is largely a negative player. And Poole…. Well you just can’t trust him at the end of games. If Dejounte is even an approximation of himself, he adds rebounding, defense size and length. Murray, Herb, Trey, Zion and Queen is a very viable lineup. And we are passed when I thought he would return, so I hope he’s ok and ramping up soon.

Funny to see him say that out loud. My opinion was always that even he realized he didn’t know how to turn this thing around. He had no answers.

Until he doesn’t and stops playing defense for three straight possessions. I just don’t know what you do with a guy like that.

All makes sense. Borrego had Lamelo in Charlotte when he made an all star team. And we know the Warriors love Trey and Herb. Have to assume this also includes Zion going out somewhere as Kuminga and Zion never made sense. Could be a roster flip type of season.

I will never understand why BI is anything other than universally loved here. He did miss a lot of time, but he was great for us. No surprise to me that he is doing well in Toronto.

I will never understand why our fan base, and many out there honestly, are so simple minded and can’t differentiate the product from the business. This team is making money hands over fist. They have no f’ing clue how to win basketball games. But they have made hundreds of millions over decades in NO.
