I know they are playing a crappy team but their stadium was not 1/2 full at kickoff…
I feel bad for their players…

"Crowd" may be overstating it. Perhaps just attendees.

But it is really hot and humid here today. So there's that.

Maybe the worst USC crowd since the Paul Hackett days. As bad as any Helton crowd.

Still more people than a conference UCLA game.

Why? Would you want to spend a whole day watching a dogshit game like this?

UCLA plays nowhere near campus though. USC plays across the street from campus in the middle of Los Angeles. 20,000 students are within a 15-minute walk. AI estimates that there are 5 million people within an 30-minute drive of the Coliseum on Saturdays.

I went to a USC game against a mediocre PAC12 opponent back in the Helton days. It was at least that bad. The atmosphere and stadium is terrible. Everything about it was subpar, including the tailgating. I went with a USC alum and it was free and it was still not worth my time.

The only thing worthwhile about the whole thing was the "Danger Dogs or "Victory Dogs" depending on who tou ask that vendors sell outside after the game. Those things are awesome.

Especially in southern California. I love college football, and there are about two dozen things I'd rather do on an August Saturday afternoon in LA than watch San Jose St get dogwalked up and down the field.

Average NIL earnings for a USC football player is over 400k per year.

Will never understand why a football recruit would want to go to either of these LA schools. Just some kids from poverty who want to live in Cali

Because California has the best 3 Ws in the US. Women, weather and weed.

I used to run 6 miles along the beach around Manhattan Beach and the scenery, both the ocean and women were insane.

Stupid people claim things that aren’t true all the time. We all know who played in the national championship game that year and it wasn’t USC.

its 92 right now in LA and I go there all the time for work and that's like 120 to them.

After spending so much time there, I get it. So much shite to do on a weekend or even day trips. Drive to Santa Barbara or Malibu, go for a hike in the mountains, drive to wine country, go to the beach, or Disneyland, or Universal, Knotts Berry, Magic Mountain, or a Dodgers and/or Angels game.

Also there are two music festivals in town
