The championship games still make a boatload of money, which is all these people and TV networks care about.
Dundon has to be furious that he has to pay for flights and hotels back in San Antonio now

Remember last week when everyone thought LIV was going to cancel their Mexico City event? & then the rest of the 2026 season? & then 2027?

It seems they will try to continue in 2027

I would certainly be feeling good about a league making... *check notes*... Taylor Gooch one of the centerpieces of their global league.

Maybe. Maybe not. As someone put it nicely recently, aapl is a an AI hedge. And any setback whatsoever, or even just a slowdown in pace, Aapl will be well positioned to capitalize. The AI concern is certainly real, but it's for sure way overblown.

They have less CapEx exposure obviously, but they still have plenty of AI exposure in the form of being the hardware basis for on-device consumer AI.

All the while every other company has been out innovating….oh wait. Not….

I mean, AI is a pretty massive innovation and Apple completely missed the boat to the point they are now reliant on Google for the AI backend for Siri
Not sure how Fitz became the punching bag for drunk American 25 year olds. First at the Players and then here. Pretty innocuous guy.

Yep, startups always lose billions of dollars in their first few years. I’m sure other investors will want to jump in on this once in a lifetime opportunity. Maybe Phil and Norman can pony up to keep this great golf tour alive.

LIV is the golf version of Theranos, Quibi, and Pets.com
The tour gave Rahm his chance at amnesty. They should let him walk.
I had to have a hiatal hernia repair with Linx in February.

The actual surgery was a non-issue. I was back home the same day. Never needed any pain killers. Was out walking 3-4 miles by 1 week after surgery.

Two months out now and I feel more or less normal. Able to lift, run, swim, play golf and not even think about it. Acid reflux has completely gone away. Have taken zero medication since the surgery.

The most challenging part by far was and is the dietary restrictions. I still get bad chest pain and hiccuping if I eat too fast or too big of a meal. That has been very slow to get better.

More to do with his influence in basketball while at Nike and being a civil rights figure in the coaching industry.

Will someone have some sympathy for the paid shill twitter accounts during this time?

Augusta National - a group of ultra-capitalists running their organization in the most uncapitalist way possible.

That's the very definition of frick You money
One of the dumber narratives to come out of this week
They could make Augusta far harder than they do. Just grow the rough out and bake the greens and the winning score this week would have been around even. That's not the goal of ANGC.

They could have turned the greens into Shinnecock if they wanted to this week.
45 tour wins to 30 and had to play peak Tiger the vast majority of his career

11 second place finishes in majors is nothing to sneeze at either.

I think Rory is ahead, but I think they are in the same tier.
Third tier with Phil right now and a good chance to move to second tier

Post-WWII:

Top Tier:
Tiger, Jack

Second Tier:
Palmer, Hogan, Player, Watson, Snead

Third Tier:
Phil, Rory, Trevino

Could probably throw Faldo, Seve and maybe Norman in that third tier, but I think Rory and Phil are a clear step above them.
