I’m sure there were break ins. I doubt it was a primary driver for the place closing. I can rattle off the businesses right by there that were open before it and are still there
I love the idea of a simulator bar but when it’s $30-$40 per hour (from what I recall) plus drinks and food the sim better work well and start on time
It is a weird area but I never thought of it as particularly dangerous. Washington especially a little further west is ratchet as frick late at night but that’s not a late night place.

Loft18 was expensive as shite with bad service
On top of simply the market forces currently, majors are going to be lukewarm to commit that level of capital with so much political instability and uncertainty. Investment is just starting to really pick up in earnest in Argentina and Milei has been in office for two years, as an example.

They may talk a big game as far as long term plans go to stay in the good graces here politically but I suspect it will take a little more stability to get them to truly start rebuilding things which will only further delay it

Always great when something like this happens and Beaux Jeaux69 on ButtplugDroppings or Twatter is suddenly an expert in energy infrastructure
Dying at the announcer “still not sure what set him off!” Lmao
There were supposedly longer deals on the table according to the MLB report with lower AAV (so maybe something like 5 years/75 mil?). Depends on your definition of better. He has a chance to earn a lot more if he has a good year this year and opts out
I’d be interested to know what the longer term contracts might have looked like. He clearly took this structure to re enter the market next year hopefully after a good rookie season and still only being 28.

Could be as simple as he’s unproven with some question marks (size, command) and not a slam dunk Yamamoto level prospect, and there’s a lot of uncertainty with a potential labor stoppage. I love the deal as an Astros fan
I have no idea if they can sustain the success, I do know that no school should expect to be able to replicate what they have done
Indiana/Cignetti are going to unfairly shift expectations for every major conference program hiring a new coach going forward. What they’ve done only would have been possible in the current portal/NIL era, but it’s still going to be an extreme outlier as far as success
In general I do think teams have wisened up recently on using the posting deadline to their benefit as far as leverage, winding it down to the very end. Not sure why the market for Imai didn’t materialize as expected though

Is this the year Trevor Bauer returns to MLB?

Bauer posted a 4.5 ERA in Japan last year and got sent down to the equivalent of NPB AAA

They are not going to unload Walker without eating a good bit of the money or taking back another bad contract

I posted in one of the threads after Bama OU that I wasn’t sure Bama could keep up with Indiana for 4 quarters and got laughed at. Still a lot of football left but I’m not sure how anyone thought the best versions of these two teams were equal
