No offense. Your thread title sucks. You don’t even have the players name in your title.

Do better.

  the frick? it's the nola.com article title. y'all are insufferable on this board

The Saints announced Monday that they've signed defensive end Chris Rumph II to a one-year contract. Rumph, a 2021 fourth-round pick, spent his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, meaning he'll unite with defensive coordinator Brandon Staley in New Orleans.

In three seasons, Rumph appeared in 37 games as a rotational pass rusher and has three career sacks. He has also dealt with injuries. His 2023 campaign was cut short when he suffered a season-ending foot fracture in November. He also missed all of last year when he was placed on injured reserve in August.

kinda like if you like your doctor you can keep them
Let's get this out of the way first: frick loomis. He got the Saints in this mess and should not be allowed to dig them out of it.

But, having said that, this team looks greatly improved on paper. They added players all over the place and it finally looks like they might have some depth again. They did not crush the draft, but it does not suck either. They got great value all over the place, but had some reaches. It's a solid B draft, but there is still a lot of work to do like getting a big WR and another TE/CB.

I know this is impossible on this board, but it's a solid wait and see situation. They will still be bad next year, but maybe not AS bad.
they are serious about stopping the run next year

Of all the bad things that have happened with this team, that’s where they draw the line?

mother fricking this
i really, really want to see what happens today. i'd have to imagine they'd want to go undrafted to "pick" where they want him to go

When Daboll tried to get him to discuss concepts he hadn’t run before on the white board, he essentially said no he wasn’t doing that but he would go over the concepts he has ran and wants to run in the pros.

this is the most striking thing to me. one thing that has popped up constantly were teams concerns over his ability to run an NFL offense because what he was running at Colorado was so simple.
They've stuck to the players, the team needs, and mostly stayed away from drama click bait. Contrast that with ESPN which is no better than NFL TMZ at this point.
could not agree more. they've stayed put and let the draft come to them. while i still do not think they should have drafted a qb this year, they can still draft another next year. you have to roll the dice as many times as you can until you hit there.

not a flashy draft, and i hope they get a rb or wr today, but i'm pretty happy all things considered.

Plus we had Payton, so I’d trust his qb eye a little more

every qb he drafted was HORRIBLE
