So if every single player opts in they all get a share which will come out to about $5 per player?
Plus all players like lineman and deep snappers will get same amount?

Who wouldn't want to be in the game though? I can guarantee you that players in the past loved seeing themselves in a video game.

Well maybe not that Sam Keller douche.

Yea! I’m 25 years in and 2 realignments have happened: Ole Miss was kicked out of SEC and replaced by WKU.

Mich St was replaced by Army in big 10.

Ole Miss and Mich St became independent. All 4 schools involved suck arse in year 25 haha

Also: Tx Tech is still amazing. This game started in 08 when they had they good Michael Crabtree team.

They also better bring back the marching band soundtrack instead of the gay hip-hop bs that is in every other sports game.

WKU is more likely to win an SEC-W division title

Technically it’s not wrong until they actually release the game. Unless you’re just gonna take EA Sports at their word, and good luck with that

I hate the look Madden has. NCAA had a more enjoyable in game look and feel

So basically just like the real world NFL compared to the NCAA

I loved realigning conferences although I hated you couldn’t adjust all of the bowl matchups along with it…just the BCS bowls.

One time I drew up a set of rules and aligned the conferences such that all teams in a state had to be in the same conference division and conferences had to consist of states that share borders.

Ended up being something like:

SEC - South Division
FAU
FIU
Miami
FSU
UCF
USF
UF

SEC - North Division
UAB
Bama
Auburn
Troy
South Alabama
UGA
GT

Big 12 - East Texas
Houston
Rice
TAMU
SMU
North Texas
TCU

Big 12 - West Texas
TTU
Baylor
Texas
Texas State
UTSA
UTEP

Funny thing with this game is 247 did a poll before the season of like 100 players (obviously small sample) on what the compensation they’d like to see to get in order to be a part of the game, and a lot of those guys didn’t really want much at all, they just wanted the game back. I think only one player they polled wanted over $1,000 or so.

Would link article but I’m on mobile

This, but I wish they could get authentic versions of the fight songs played by the actual schools band. At least for for the P-5 schools. I read somewhere that going back many years ago they had USCw play all the fights songs and those were the recordings they used for the game. They used those same recordings for every year of the game. That’s why the fight songs sound basic (because they used easier versions to play abd the band didn’t know the songs, so very little practice time). Also would like band specific moments like before a 3rd down, after a 1st down, etc. Some specialized chants for those types of moments for the schools could be cool too.

Seven nation army before kickoffs for everyone got old fast in the last NCAA.

I wouldn't mind seeing an online mode like NBA 2k has with MyPlayer to go along with MyCareer. Where you make your player and can do the more traditional career mode offline with realistic play style, but then you can also take your player online and do play more arcade style 7on7 type games with NFL Street style play, similar to the park in 2k where you can play more arcade style 3 on 3, 2 on 2, and 1 on 1 games

I played NCAA 11 for the PS2 for years. That's when you could still do medical redshirts.

I remember recruiting a 2-star 6'7 receiver with my Tulane dynasty who ran a 4.17 40 but had a F for hands. He would cook basically every corner but had like 9 drops per game.

Another one was during my Rutgers dynasty where I was able to snag a 6'6" Elite 11 QB

It always bothered me as the years went by they took out little things like these that made the game special. It should work the other way. 12-14 were basically base model dynasties (minus the overhaul on recruiting in 14).

EA and NCAA are notorious for removing features, bringing them back a couple or so years later and then marketing them as new features.

Yeah it’s amazing how deep and custom the older games could get

There was a feature for create a play, you used to be able to use actual d2 schools, create custom conferences and play off brackets, etc

Its crazy the features that they have in NFL2K5 that’s never shown up in either series, like a halftime show with actual highlights from your game, a weekly sport center episode with actual highlights from your and other simmed games, a situation mode where you play the big moments in NFL history, and a custom situation feature that let you pick the time, down, distance etc of a scenario and play it out.

20 years later and it’s the exact same product with better graphics

I think most people misremember NCAA14 being this beloved game when it came out, but people were bitching the same way we bitch about madden each year because there isn’t a noticeable difference between NCAA12, NCAA13, or NCAA14. It just grew in popularity as the last title in the series

he return of EA Sports' college football video game series now has a time of arrival: the summer of 2024. Daryl Holt, EA Sports' vice president and general manager, told ESPN in an interview the brand is going to launch EA Sports College Football at that time because of the enormous undertaking of creating the game from scratch.

2014 was my favorite game ever. I freaking loved franchise mode and the recruiting. But I'll believe this when I see it. They've said this every year since 2021.

As long as they bring back the recruiting feature, I'll be happy.
