re: Golden age of QB play

In 1994 alone, you had

Marino
Montana
Young
Elway
Favre
Moon
Esiason
Kelly
Bledsoe
Cunningham
Aikman

Some were finishing up while others were just starting, but to me the mid 90s was the Golden Age of the quarterback. These dudes with today's rules and offenses would be insane.

Weird there is only one boxing day game

That is odd, however tGOATship and the lower leagues are playing all their games so at least we'll be able to watch the top of the pyramid play.
It was the first Christmas movie we fired up after Thanksgiving. It's the household favorite now.
Ya like we haven't had blowouts in every opening round CFP game since it's original inception.....

If anything, A&M only scoring 3 points against a meh Miami only underscores the playoff should've stayed at 4, regardless of a Tulane or JMU.
Adams will miss 2-3 months with an MCL tear.

Dude can't catch a break.
My Instagram feed is full of articles about countries demanding FIFA pause ticket sales until they figure out a way to make it more affordable.

My favorite was a headline from some site that said "This is the WC where FIFA truly doesn't care about the fans" :rotflmao:

 given the stage

Unfortunately "the stage" hasn't really been open to the lower level schools until the past 2 seasons. Sure they've had the BCS game (Boise, Tulane, etc winning those games from time to time) but finally now they can truly compete for a title like every one else. And unlike March Madness you'll see them upset higher ranked teams more often.

Probably not the game in question though lol

Klaus

Literally just finished watching this with my girlfriend. It's vaulted into one of our favorite Christmas movies ever. She watches the Muppets with me because she knows how much I love it, but every year Klaus is the first thing she wants to watch.
This is the kind of pride event everyone can get behind. What a great way to troll them

"appreciate the support from our families and fans"

Hell of a way to show it :rotflmao:

What does kinda bother me is, during the game, they show all these beach shots with Christmas/holiday music. It's probably in the 70s. That ain't Christmas weather.

God I hope you're being sarcastic

Hawaii Bowl is a god damned Christmas Eve tradition

ever thought it’d get to the point where teams like ISU are opting out of bowls

What a slap in the face of that fanbase that always supports them and shows up big time to bowl games

Blowouts galore in the first round

I mean, that's been the case even when it was 4 teams.

I know I can't be the only one enjoying the chaos.

Feels like all the chickens are coming home to roost this season with the calendar BS, NIL, bloated conferences who stupidly did away with divisions, and now the overcomplicated and off number of 12 teams with stupid qualifications. It's great

You conveniently left out the trashy opponents for those matches. Who wants to pay $3k watch Portugal blow out Uzbekistan when Uzbekistan probably wont even have 5 shot attempts and under 30% possession?

Unfortunately there will probably be a good market for that since Ronaldo could bag multiple goals in that game and people would pay to see that alone.
And both Duke and Virginia are both playing for the ACC championship. Wild times.

What a dream 2nd pot. We get a winnable game, and several contenders grouped together.

So is it USA vs. Australia in day 1 of Group D play?

No they got it staggered all weird. They'll be our 2nd game.
Whoever put Rio in this position should be fired. But knowing FIFA they'll probably get promoted.
