Would Saban have won more titles if he had stayed here, than he did at Alabama?

Do you think he ever wonders?
I’m still processing what he said about LSU being the best place to win out of anywhere Kiffin has ever been. For him to say that after the career he had and his dominance at Alabama is telling.
I don’t know if we land kiffin without that perspective. He isn't just saying it, he believes it. And Kiffin is poised to prove it.
I’m not saying I’m over it Nick, but I am saying thank you and maybe we can still be friends after all.

One thing is for certain. We would have had at least 2 more national championship trophies in the case had Bo Rein not died in the recruiting plane crash.
Saban probably would have added a couple more for sure.

I think he was 6-5 in CFP playoffs/BCS championships at Bama?

I am sure he is relieved to hear this.

Saban was a great coach while here, but I do not think he because the best coach in CFB history without leaving for the dolphins
He needed to scratch that NFL head coach itch and realize it was not for him in order to completely dedicate himself to the college game.

Not a chance
In 5 seasons under Saban, LSU loss less than 3 games one time.
Saban got Bama and the Machine rolling in Tuscaloosa with the quickness.
Saban did a good job getting good ole boys in Louisiana out of the way, but you can only hold them off for so long.

If Bo Rein had not died, that throws off the whole timeline.
Saban could have won his first championship somewhere else, or maybe even never won one had he not landed in the right set of circumstances.

Well just math says he would have had 3 more opportunities in 05, 06, and 07 with rosters at the top of college football. Obviously the 07 team won it without him anyway.
Also no reason to think he couldn't have matched 08-23 at LSU instead of Alabama.
So conventional wisdom says 1 or 2 more just by staying in college football instead of spending time in the NFL.

Yes. He was so far ahead of the rest of the SEC and country in 2005 it’s ridiculous. Assuming Urban still goes to Florida, he may win one at Florida as he did. But CNS wins at least 2-3 between 2005–2010. Another 2-4 between 2011 and retirement.

Probably. Hell, Miles would have had at least 2 more, if Saban had picked Brees over Culpepper.

If Saban had stayed, he would probably still had that itch for the NFL and left at some point. LSU would have at least won in 2006

Without a doubt. Don’t discount the fact that Saban staying here indirectly weakens our biggest NC obstacle (Bama) for many years

Yes. We had a shot in 2005 and 2006 had he stayed. Saban was in the NFL then. We won it in 2007 so thats one for sure. 2011 LSU wins instead of Bama. Saban would have had a QB all those years Miles did not. Add the players Bama signed from Louisiana to our roster.
