His Coach O impression was very funny
Lane did a great job describing the hypocrisy of all fanbases (including LSU's)
quote:

Cool with it nah, the NCAA has that one “rule” left pretty much. Federal ruling have sided with them on it. But if Alabama got around it somehow I would say the next day as an LSU fan go get us like talent or the same type of player. Whether I like it or not for college basketball doesn’t matter, if I want to win and be competitive.

Well here’s the thing, Alabama already tried to get around it last year and they got rejected…
quote:

"The NCAA has not and will not grant eligibility to any prospective or returning student-athletes who have signed an NBA contract (including a two-way contract),"

quote:

In line with several other international players who never previously enrolled in college and never played in an NBA game, Nnaji was cleared by the NCAA last week. He could make his debut for the Bears as early as this weekend.

quote:

They just simply stated as long as you don’t play in the NBA/ sign contractually and make money from it doesn’t matter how much you make anywhere else in the world.

RJ Luis signed a two way contract. See below:
quote:

Former Baylor big man James Nnaji was drafted No. 31 in the 2023 NBA Draft, but he was granted eligibility because of the loophole where he had never signed a NBA contract. Providence signed G League standout Dink Pate this spring, who intentionally passed on two-way contract offers to maintain his college eligibility. Texas A&M landed G-League sharpshooter Bryson Warren this spring, who also did not sign a two-way contract.

Inking that two-way contract proved to be the hiccup that led to Alabama's Charles Bediako being ruled ineligible by Tuscaloosa County Circuit Court Judge Daniel F. Pruet in early February after a temporary restraining order allowed the big man to play five games in an unprecedented return to college basketball.
quote:

The entire football team has basically signed a pro contract. These aren't amateur athletes any longer.

So if Alabama went and signed Cooper Flagg you’d be cool with it?
quote:

Which rules now in CBB are you referring to?

The same ones that prevented Charles Bediako from playing last year.
quote:

But even what you are I think referring to they actually changed it.

What rule do you think I’m referring to and how did they change it?
I personally don’t care how he celebrates. But I also don’t complain when other teams celebrate so it makes sense for me.

I don’t think this is true.

Arrambide can’t be a catcher next year

The fact that there are people that don’t think LSU needs to go get a catcher in the portal is insane
He didn’t say they were the same. You asked the question “what back problems could he possibly be having”. Maybe you should be more specific in your questioning.

Birmingham has to be controlling ABS that’s the only explanation. It’s hilarious watching this board turn on the ABS system in real time

Looks like the guy on second is relaying the pitch with what hand he puts up

How would he know the pitch?
quote:

It seems as though he’s intentionally pushing the limits of what’s allowed…and I don’t even care. I have zero qualms with it. If it’s not explicitly agsinst the rules, then do it. Everyone else has been abusing loopholes for decades. Force them to change the rules if they don’t like it.

Some of the guys that he is signing are ineligible according to the rules. They are going to hope that they get a friendly judge though that overturns the rulings.
I will cheer for whoever is wearing a LSU jersey as well. However, I don’t think players that sign pro contracts should be able to go back to college.

I don’t love the ABS - it seems like it’s expanding the zone with balls that just scrape the simulated zone

So you want pitches that are in the strike zones to be called balls? Is that what you are saying?

The umps have taken a beating today because they fricking suck. Most are minor league rejects. It’s incompetence, pure and simple.

Have they? I know the umpire in the first game didn’t do great. What happened in the other games? Also, it’s not really surprising the college officials aren’t as good as professional officials…

Sure seems like with umps being held accountable they are doing a much better job of calling balls and strikes.

Maybe. But I bet if those two calls that Oklahoma got overturned were called strikes without ABS, this board would be complaining that the umpire sucks. And now y’all are seeing that the umpires aren’t out to get LSU. That’s two pitches that would have wrongfully gone LSU’s way if not for ABS.

Catcher is stealing strikes

You probably would’ve said that he stole the one that they just challenged too
