quote:Where is that? Wrigley Field? The Cubs name the stadium after him already? Damn. I guess they really wanted him.
Alex Bregman Stadium?
re: Seems strange that there hasn’t been a peep out of BK since he left.

They'll never have him on, after abandoning their beloved Notre Dame.
quote:It could be selective memory, but I do not remember Kelly visiting north Louisiana, even once, during his entire four years.
I really think he's made more site recruiting visits in his 2 months than Kelly did in all his time here. That may be exaggerating but it really does feel like hes way more actively involved and on the road than Kelly was.

I would really like to flip him. I think we have a good chance, too.

Freddy Mac!!! He was one of my favorite Saints role players, back in the day.
re: Sean Payton again comes up small in the playoffs
Posted by Laman1978 on 1/26/26 at 4:26 pm to Jugular Joe
I feel like the Sean Payton hate is unwarranted. It doesn't feel right seeing him coach another team, but he gave the large majority of his career to the Saints, and most of all, he brought us a Super Bowl. I'll always appreciate him.
quote:You’re just one of the typical fans that throw the QB under the bus when literally anything goes wrong and don't really know football well. No big deal. Well over half of fans are like this. Two players have had 4,000 yard passing seasons in LSU history... Joe Burrow and Nuss. And people think he won't get drafted because he was stuck in a horrible offensive situation in 2025? Think.
Not sure what to think about this. I want him to succeed though.

He just ain't the one. Time to move on from him. Been patient enough.

What they fail to acknowledge is that OM saved its own arse by beating UGA

It's easy to go to work when things are going so well and you love what you're doing. I bet the atmosphere up there is phenomenal.
Yep. Going back over to the rant will be dull for awhile. At least until baseball starts.
re: How we feeling about the OL now, boys?
Posted by Laman1978 on 1/23/26 at 9:31 pm to RBWilliams8
I was already feeling good. Now I'm over the moon!
They still don't even have a couple of players listed
quote:Fan bases hated us, but it feels like they hate us more now. The media definitely didn't hate us as much as they do now.
A lot of you baws are older than me and will remember better than I can. Were we this hated under Saban/early Les Miles? I feel like we weren’t but I can’t say I remember 100%
Feels good to be bringing in this kinda haul either way
It would have been the highest rated class in history, if 247 didn't keep docking player ratings after committing to us.

I love it!!! Best non championship off-season ever!!!

It's time to destroy the SEC, starting with the rebels!!!

quote:Exactly. If everything said about his uncle holding up the situation is true, it's a red flag for his character. Pretty pathetic, honestly.
Seaton is a grown arse man! He is not a high school senior nor he needs a parent or guardian to sign. He needs to pick up the phone and do what he wants.

re: Frank Wilson - Visits Albert Simien 2027 DT/OT
Posted by Laman1978 on 1/22/26 at 3:25 am to brettamedee
quote:This isn't uncommon. Lots of colleges assign regions to coaches to recruit, as opposed to assigning players based on what position they coach. That way coaches can hit up more players in a smaller radius.
Frank Wilson is the running back coach at Ole Miss. I guess the position coach doesn't matter in this case. Ole Miss using Wilson for Louisiana rather than position coaches.

Lane Kiffin should have been the hire to begin with.
BK didn't excite the boosters like Kiffin. Plus players like Kiffin more.
quote:And? Everyone faces this problem. There's a reason Kiffin is building this way.
Great. But they're all perpetual free agents so no guarantee they stay.

quote:It does matter, because it's mostly going to be those players competing for starting positions in the future. Even if half of them left, that's much less work to do in the portal next year, and the ones that remain will have had a year in Kiffin's system.
Everyone is year to year these days. Hardly matters how many years they have left.

The remaining 36 have multiple years of eligibility. The future is bright!
Side note: 8 of the 18 transfers from last year had only one year of eligibility.

At 2:01am, damn he never sleeps.....but why now at this early morning?
