Someone said that, for diversity purposes, the NCAA is deemed to be a resident in every state in which it has a member institution. No idea if that’s true.

In order for it to go to federal court, they have to be filing federal claims which they are not. They have already come out and said this. So even if they try to go federal it’ll get kicked back to the state.

Moscona doesn't know what he's talking about. He should comment, not dole out legal opinion or advice. LSU does not need these guys if it is going to cause LSU problems with the SEC and spend millions of dollars and time in court. If it is just LSU being hate on but no consequences like probabation, suspensions, and fines from the SEC then I'm fine with it. I couldn't care less who hates on LSU. But is it worth the fight with the SEC and whatever consequences could be levied? I don't think so. I like our roster and coaching staff. Geaux Tigers

If the SEC gets added, they could remove to federal court under diversity jurisdiction.

Alabama basketball had a dude that played last year for them that played in the NBA G League for 3 fricking years but everyone is acting like LSU is the only school that would even consider doing this.

My main concern at the moment is the preparation of the team for a very important opening game in one week. I can't see how any conversation about this can not be mentally impeding our preparation.
Other than that, let LSU play by the law and not cheat, and I'm good with whoever Lane wants on the team.

LSU has sure invested a whole lot of money in a coaching staff and NIL fund to have it all go up in smoke for one DT and TE that haven't even practiced with the team?
I agree, even if LSU is 100% legit, it is not worth the time and energy to potentially blow up the entire season and reputation of LSU.

You know the law? This has nothing to do with simply reading the NCAA rulebook. This is about TROs and injunctions being issued by judges in multiple states across the country, involving dozens upon dozens of athletes—and the number of cases continues to grow.
Since you know the law, I assume you also understand what a TRO and an injunction actually do. A court order doesn’t become optional because the NCAA or a conference doesn’t like the result.

Tip: The players filed the action. They are plaintiffs. Their attorneys are the plaintiffs' legal team.

I thought about that. But from what I can tell, it’s an Alabama corporation with an Alabama PPB. Unless a Bama resident is suing them, they should be able to remove.

LSU is not under the injunction. You get that, right?
An injunction restrains the NCAA or the SEC from acting while it is in place.
I don’t think it gives a third party immunity from the consequences of its actions if the injunction is overturned.

Then you also know that the verbiage of the injunction on Thursday is everything. Every concern you bring up can be addressed in the verbiage of the injunction.
