LSU LB TJ Dottery Talks Team Accountability, Leadership After Kentucky Loss

LSU linebacker TJ Dottery met with reporters following practice Tuesday and discussed how the Tigers are responding to their 35-34 overtime loss at Kentucky.
Dottery said he and other team leaders, including quarterback Sam Leavitt, are working to keep everyone motivated as LSU prepares for Saturday's matchup against Mississippi State.
"Me and some of the leaders, like Sam (Leavitt), just continue to motivate the guys and keep everybody's heads level in the moment," Dottery said. "You know, things happen, and just trying to execute and get back to 1-0 this week."
Dottery was also asked about conversations with defensive coordinator Blake Baker regarding LSU's struggles in late-game situations against Kentucky.
"I think the conversations were just both sides taking, you know, part and taking accountability," Dottery said. "You know, feeling like we could have executed the calls better, and maybe he felt like he could have called a different call.
"But for sure, just both sides taking accountability. Regardless of whatever he calls, we just need to make sure we execute it, for sure."
The Tigers will look to bounce back Saturday when they host Mississippi State at Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.
