You are lying to yourself if you say this season hasn’t shaken your confidence.

You can admit that and still say Jay deserves chances.

But this season is not a great sign since the transfer portal is like full on free agency. He will have to figure it out.

Exactly this. I’m really at a loss for words as to how far they’ve spiraled so fast. Jay has his work cut out for him in the off season. I believe he is an extremely hard worker, but working hard doesn’t necessarily equal working smart.

No. I’m more confident in him as coach than I was in Coach O after his failed post-natty season. And it’s not even close.

Yes. I would have expected some improvement over the course of the season but this team has regressed. That is not a sign of good coaching. I hope that some of the assistant coaches are shown the door at season end.

A simple question, what happens in years without 2 1st round draft picks? The teams aren't competitive without elite talent. Small nuances in the game don't get exposed by elite talent. Skip always preached the little things and attention to detail.

Pitchers are pitching scared and tight. If they walk a guy, they are out of the game and ruining confidence. Throw the fastball, it's a great pitch that at this level you should be able to control without issue.

Maneiri is unemployed now and I’m sure back in the area. Maybe we can rehire him since he did better.

Sarcasm for those who don’t realize it. And, no, my confidence in Jay is not shaken.

Not in his ability. His comments early in the season about MLB and monitoring Tony Vitello’s success were probably unnecessary. Should have kept it to himself if true, because when you flirt with leaving and lay a big fat egg, people remember. He has alot of good will in the bank, or else it could have been ugly for him.

He was answering a question. It's not like he brought up interest in an MLB job on his own...probably because ZERO MLB teams have any interest in him. And that was the case BEFORE this season. Major League baseball, in some form or fashion, has been in existence for ~150 years. During that entire time there has been one, ONE instance of a MLB team hiring a college head coach with no MLB experience as its manager. That was Vitello with the Giants...who currently have the second worst record in the National League.

Jay's not leaving for MLB. Not because may not want to. It's because no MLB team wants him.

What would everyone's opinion be if that Arkansas outfielder didn't boot that fly ball in Omaha

Dishonest premise from the start. Nobody that knows anything about baseball would call that a fly ball.

Did last season shake your confidence in Jay?

So, for me, it’s a circumstance thing that we don’t know about.

He’s earned my patience.

“Not at all.” Is my answer.

He’s got more wherewithal in his pinky than any of us do. Let him coach.

Don’t be quiet about it …that’s your right as a fan. But sum him up in the last three years.

Has any coach won a national championship in 66% of his seasons at LSU? No.

I don't understand this question. You're asking if the guy's opinion is true?

A little shaken but expect CJJ to bounce back. If it's a test he has the answer key, like he said weeks ago in the press conference re: portal- stick with the young guys you bring in, trust your evals and move forward.

The xfer portal is a crap shoot. Every season there are no sure things like Tommy White or Paul Skenes. If he had it to do over again he would not let "more complete players" walk...i.e. Ryan, Hogg, Larson, etc.

Not at all!

Jay knows the mistakes that he made and rest assured that they will be fixed.

Not shaken, but I guess my question would be did he change his formula and if so, why? When it comes to putting the team together
