It is these type things that Jay does that make me shake my head and question his decisions.

It absolutely is a total failure. Jay gets a lot of leeway because of the natties but there is really no excuse for the abysmal team that he put together this year. Jay and the entire coaching staff need to feel the heat and I certainly believe some assistant coaches and certain players need to be shown the door.
Yes. I would have expected some improvement over the course of the season but this team has regressed. That is not a sign of good coaching. I hope that some of the assistant coaches are shown the door at season end.

Jay should “donate” his salary for this year back to the baseball program. He definitely did not earn it this year.

We need to start playing guys who are likely to be here next year and see what they can do. The starters who are leaving can all sit the bench and let the young guys play. This season is done.
Thank goodness for women’s athletics because our men’s teams suck.
How does the supposed best coach in the country manage to field such an embarrassingly inept team? They can do nothing well. Jay needs to fire some position coaches at season end and process a good number of the players.

Likely to not be much better next year. This team is losing all its decent players after this year. We’ll see what kind of coach Jay is if he can turn this around next year but I’m having trouble thinking he can do it. The talent will not be there.

Are we gonna get 10 run ruled in consecutive games? That would have to be a record.
A halfway decent coach can win when he has great players. But a great coach wins even when his players are not great. A great coach gets the best out of his players. That is definitely not happening with this team. JJ is definitely not getting the best out of these players. In fact, at times they look like a poorly coached high school team. A lot of the luster with JJ is wearing off.

It’s JJ’s fault. He put together this team. He chose the portal players none of whom are LSU caliber players. All of this is on him. If he gets the credit when they win the championship, he gets the blame when they crater.
