For some reason this post reminded me of something from my HS days.

Our girls won the district title for the 1st time in school history. After the game they were cutting down the nets and there was a big celebration.

The boys coach was leaning against the wall near the concession stand, watching from a distance.

Someone said, "Coach, isn't this awesome?? First district title ever!"

His response, and I quote: "You cut down my nets, you pay for them."

On those nights it looks like a biblical plague outside, you WILL find some dead ones inside the next morning. I've owned two houses with active termite contracts and it's happened at both houses this time of year every time. I've visited both a relative and a friend's house this past weekend, and both houses had dead swarmers in their bathrooms - both people keep their houses well-maintained

I've gotten used to this the past few years, but I don't remember this happening 20+ years ago. Is there some reason why it's worse now or did I just not notice back then?
Messing around with Grok and ChatGPT I always notice how it gives an answer, then I ask it “but did you consider” and then it gives in way too easily. It seems even weak counter arguments will make it change its mind. Are they just telling us what we want to hear?

Thread title made me think they were making fun of Kade.... but I'm a little slow minded.

Would be hilarious in an alternate universe if they did do that. Just roast all these future 1st rounders on the home page relentlessly, make sure they're humble.
"Get a load of this guy.. 5 ER against a college team.. and he wants to pitch up here?"
I pull for WVU in everything.

The state of West Virginia symbolizes a piece of America that no longer exists. And I love everything about it.

How could you not be romantic about this?

Player contracts and salary caps are inevitable. Just get it over with...

Dollywood is a great time. Firechaser and Big Bear Mountain were our favorites. They have way more intense coasters but we weren't adventurous enough for those

ETA: crowds should be fine with school being in. And get the cinnamon bread! Trust me on that one.

No.

I'm just thinking from the SEC office's standpoint, it could be a postseason advantage if SEC teams are used to it and other conferences aren't.

But yeah, probably not worth messing with.

Mets Brandon Nimmo came into today hitting .192

What's crazy is this isn't even that low anymore. So many guys hitting below .200 right now. Trout is at .170, that's what pitchers used to hit lol. But he's got 9 bombs to go with it

Home/Away/Home Super Regionals

Posted by RidiculousHype on 4/28/25 at 1:40 pm
I think it's really stupid that the NCAA allows the road team to be the home team for Game 2 of the Super Regionals.

However, since that is the rule, should the SEC consider using the same format during the regular season to allow teams to get experience being the visitors in their own ballpark? Always thought it was weird when teams have to do this for the first time in the postseason, possibly facing elimination.

Great edits for good belly laughs
Not really sure how good Thomas is, but he came back to LSU in January 2024 and the roster is a lot more talented now than it was then. So that's good.
