Pitching has gotten better for sure but Nolan Ryan's overlay is also absurd

Of course it is. How could it possibly compete with this?

some stranger who probably voted for Kamala Harris

Akshully Trump won the popular vote so probabilistically speaking it's more likely to be a Trump voter being mugged.
In the 90s it felt like tech was improving fast, but culture was declining fast. Now that it's 30 years later I'd say we were pretty spot on with those sentiments.
Alright, Mlodzinksi has a shutout thru 5, I'm mentally ready for him to get 2 quick outs and then yanked

ETA: take a wild guess...

That's pretty fricking absurd.

The Barbe guy is known for absurd. How he still has that job is anyone's guess.
I might send you something while I'm in a wheelin and dealin mood

Btw, another 5.2 IP start with 0 or 1 ER today with Flaherty. That's 4 of those in 5 days for my squad! :banghead:

The problems could be that Deggs dad is dying a slow and painful death from cancer. Multiple people who were at the game have stated that JMU first baseman started chirping about Deggs being a drunk and then went in on his dying father.

The first baseman was playing first base when Deggs went after the 3rd base dugout.

But IF the dugout was chirping about his dying father, I can see why Deggs reacted the way he did. If you notice, the umps kind of let him keep getting closer to the JMU coach, almost like they thought he was somewhat justified.

The BIG 10 is kicking arse and taking titles

Yes it is, and while it may be something us lowly fans just casually notice and go on about our day, I can't imagine Sankey is sleeping too well. The SEC looked unstoppable when he took over in 2015. He was given the keys to the Cadillac and it's veering off the road...

Modern baseball (even and especially at the high school level) is entirely different. It requires the right coach that can use modern methods along with tried and true approaches to development.

Curious what you mean by modern methods. If you're talking about data like spin rate and exit velo, I don't think most HS kids have the aptitude to gain value from it. Most of them tend to overthink and underwork. Just my opinion.

I'm a bit overweighted on hitters and underweighted on pitchers.. if anyone wants to offer an SP or closer for a hitter I'm all ears.

ETA: my last 3 SP starts have been 5.2 IP, 0 or 1 ER  No QS love

LOL. Read MoneyBall and ask Art Howe for his thoughts.

The baseball world has changed a lot over the last 25 years.

Did u listen to the entire answer? He basically poured cold water over the idea as Jay would never relinquish the duty of setting the lineup.

He did, but I could see a world where Jay and the Ivy leaguers collaborate and come to similar conclusions. He's as sharp a baseball/stats guy as you'll find.

He’s competitive and he’s already won two natties here. It’s the human nature to start looking for what’s next.

If Tony V gets the Giants to the postseason, I could see a small or mid market club going after Jay to try to get an early jump on the college frenzy. It would be hard for him to say no.

Also Tony V ain’t doing so hot

God I love this place. Tony V's record is 2-3 and has 157 games left in the season
