This is the best description I've seen yet
Your team is in the playoffs because yall are too scared to join a conference. Notre Dame is for the gays.
I have a hard time believing that was the plan. They didn't have much else of a choice. This seems more like the time they hired Matt Luke to get them through the probation years after Freeze. To me it looks like they waited too late. Sumrall was already hired at UF and Golesh at Auburn. There really weren't too many other options for them.

This is a ludicrous take. There is a real possibility that the CFP committee will rank them lower without Kiffin especially if he takes some of his staff with him. If Ole Miss truly has their sights on a championship, they'd want him and his entire staff coaching them in the playoffs. From the outside, it looks alot more to me like they're trying to take their ball and go home.

Oh bullshite. He’s gone out and gotten the best coach at the time of need. GTFO with this revisionist history.

Ole Miss AD pretty much did that with the ultimatum that he sign an extension to coach the playoffs. So who doesn't care about the players? They were willing to try to hold him and his players hostage to "stay loyal" when they knew he wanted the LSU job.

Something tells me you get to hold one on a regular basis. Just not yours.

It'll be in BR next year. We played in Oxford this year.

He would've gained a lot more favor if he would've kept his part behind the scenes
We have 2 jets on the ground in Oxford now
I don't care. I would believe Lane would still have people working the portal and recruiting for LSU either way. He's not gonna want to suck next year.
What a gay thing to post

The main benefit would be that Ole Miss knows he’s staying, but he completely derails the LSU search.
This could be a possibility but he would also have to be content with ending his career at Ole Miss. If this is what he's doing, he will have zero credibility with any other school going forward. I have a hard time believing Sexton would advise him on this route as it severely limits future options. But we're also talking about Lane Kiffin.
