I did tris for years and played baseball and basketball in HS.
If your buddy doesn't think you need to be athletic to do tris, then he's an idiot.
I started the tris because I enjoyed 2/3 disciplines and learned to deal with running long distances. I was competitive in my age group and enjoyed the races.

I don't believe I ever said that anyone else had to NOT care.
All I said was that there is some serious melting around data centers - and then a lot of y'all reacted as if I kicked your mother in the crotch.
If y'all want to carry that torch, then great - I support you in your right to be offended by data centers. That said, maybe not everyone else shares that opinion...and doesn't see it as big of a deal as you see it.
Have there been issues with some of the data centers that have been built - sure. But the wholesale "data centers are bad, spying on us all, no personal freedoms, they're watching me undress" is a little hyperbolic.

Horrible take - especially for New Orleans.
The city DESPERATELY needs an anchor university that will help to educate people to build a better workforce - it's literally one of the reasons NOLA sucks. Many of the best and brightest leave.
The tie back to LSU could be huge if done correctly - the amount of research, funding, and grant opportunities could be amazing for the GNO area.
