It has shaken mine, and it will be shaken even further if he keeps Yeskie on staff. This is simply unacceptable at LSU.

Nope. Can't win them all.

This season will haunt someone like CJJ for the rest of his life. He'll make the adjustments.

What would everyone's opinion be if that Arkansas outfielder didn't boot that fly ball in Omaha and LSU went home last season?

At least get your hypothetical bullshite right. LSU would have played them again the next day.

Bad seasons happen to good coaches. 2 years ago UCLA was 19-31 (9-21 in conf) and now they are poised to win the title. A ton of Hall of Fame coaches have had shite seasons. Every program in America would sign up for this season if it meant they got a NC in 2023 and 2025.

Another detail to note about this- that record happened with the core of this year’s dominant team, but they were all freshmen and most of them played immediately and took their lumps.

No. Just shows he is human and mid-read some people. We will be fine.

Yeskie - Yes
Jay - No

The lack of progression with the pitching staff is really concerning.

Not at all...Jay admitted his mistakes and said he won't make those mistakes again.

Has he admitted that they have coached the players that they do have poorly?

Is the coaching staff exactly the same as the one that coached the program to a national championship last year?

Is the quality of players exactly the same as the one that coached the program to a national championship last year?

Are the returning players better than they were last year?

That should give us the answer.

Whole bunch look at our record the last 5 seasons. It has continued to decline This year he has continued to be hung up on analytics. Taking too many pitches to get to the other teams bullpen. Guess what they don’t have our bullpen Stupid shift crap not a clue on pitching when he said his best staff Don’t think he has the balls to get rid of Yeskie and hire a hitting coach. Will be same next year

A little bit. He’s earned a shite season, even one this bad, but and I still have faith he’ll fix things. But it was a shockingly bad year still. If he pulls an Ed O and follows it up with another season like this he’ll deserve the hot seat. Right now he’s fine and I trust him to do his thing

To the people who point out his SEC record — the SEC is the hardest it’s ever been, and the man has hardware. Also it’s baseball. You aren’t going to win every game no matter how good you are

Do you not realize Jay made a mistake gunning for too many transfers? I'm not gonna blame him because we lost a ton and a solid portion of the remainder never improved. We might still have growing pains next year because Jay is changing his strategy but I don't see him allowing this ever again.

Coach Johnson works too hard to let this continue.
Baseball is a simple yet tough game.

The guy has won 2 national titles in 5 seasons. So the answer is no. Fans need to think with logic and not with emotion. The staff missed or the coordinator missed on evaluation in the portal. The pitching staff was the worst prolly of yeskies career and got killed in the hs draft.

It is what it is.
